My children are thriving here – and the teachers are beyond compare Outstanding! With both parents being engineers, we wanted a school for our children that would lay a really solid foundation for a life-long love of learning to best equip them to navigate the fast-changing world of work as adults. Three years on, it gives me so much peace to see how well my children are thriving. The hard-core academics are delayed compared to mainstream British schools (more aligned to the Finland model, starting age 6) -but as my eldest has progressed, I can see how this has really helped him not to lose confidence and to keep fully engaged.
My nephews were very happy at this school. The problem is that there was far too much emphasis on play and very little on academic achievement. This has resulted in them falling way behind the reading and maths standard of kids in state schools!

I believe parents are far better off saving tens of thousands of pounds it costs to put kids in this school and maybe investing in extra tuition for their children or any other worthwhile pursuits. If folks would like their children to do well academically will do better to avoid this school!

My daughter has been attending the kindergarten for a year. The level of accommodation and dedication we have received is amazing. My daughter settled quickly (this is her first daycare experience) and has a great connection with her teachers. For me it was important that the school activities are age appropriate and that the child’s emotional well-being is prioritised. I also felt spending time outdoors was important, as well as the respectful attitude towards children and letting them grow at their own pace when they are still so young. It’s a lovely and close knitted parent community and our family has come to cherish this school.
Superb school and staff. We moved our child from our local outstanding school to Acorn after we noticed he was been left behind due to a rushing attitude on learning and some other factors. The care and attention given here has huggly improved his well being therefore a massive step towards the education. If you are thinking of joining the school go and see it for yourself. Notice the happy children, notice the classrooms and the office. Speak to the teachers and you will get your answers. We are very greaful to have chosen this school.
A school that prioritises the children’s developmental and emotional needs, not jumping through hoops to meet ill-thought out government targets. Small class sizes; huge amounts of outdoor time in an inspiring setting; shorter school days and a slow daily rhythm so younger ones are not exhausted and run down; teachers who passionately believe in supporting the full emotional development of each child in their care and are always happy to meet with parents to discuss any changes they’re observing or concerns they have; and a belief in academic rigour but only at an appropriate age and not in a pressurised or stressful environment are just some of the many ways in which this extraordinary school helps children grow into well-balanced, happy, stable, creative adults that reach their full potential… It is a privilege and pleasure to drop the children here each morning and to become part of this wonderful and healthy community with so many values that are missing from London’s rat-race!
