This school is horrible! The teachers don’t know how to teach get told off if u need the toilet during lesson.we now have a green hand toilet pass where if u go to the toilet once with it ur parents get a message home and if u use it twice u have to have a meeting to see why u go to the toilet ” too much” in my opinion this school is a dump the students are treated like dogs the only staff members that are kind and the lunch ladies they are so kind but this school is disgusting the way they treat children from the outside they make it look innocent but inside is like the pits of hell they make students self harm and some have even killed themself because of this school it’s absolutely disgraceful. Hopefully they teach their staff how to teach but another thing what the hell and why the hell is team teach a thing pinning kids up against walls throwing them about the amout of bruises my friend had after being teach teacher is disturbing!!this school is horrid! Do not send ur kids here!!!

They don’t care about your mental health at all and defo need to improve how the teachers teach and act. Shoutout to Miss Rye tho she’s a well good teacher.

School is run more like a prison. Kids given bins to be sick in, refused toilet during lesson even though the queues are too long at break. Not enough seated area for lunch time so lots miss out on lunch.

From my personal experience in this academy, I can’t see any major problems with the staff or the educational system.
The staff is mostly respectful to students and does not punish them for no reason. Of course, there might be some rare cases of pre-assumptions, but mostly, this does not happen.
Talking about the students, the community in this school is very friendly, and I saw no continuous cases of bullying.
In conclusion i can say that this academy will be a good choice for your child, and i would like to refer to the negative reviews as most of them are made by students who were vewing the academy from the negative point of view, which was a mirror effect of their behaviour.

Going to Bruntcliffe Academy has ruined me mentally the rules are too strict and they can’t expect little children to be perfect all day everyday they control how we dress what we can do with our lives and give parents fines when there kid doesn’t go into school even though the school makes the pupils have bad mental health and causes depression and the teachers make students feel uncomfortable and unsafe in a school community !!!
