If you love your child, please find somewhere else. Worst of worst. Education, ambitions and character will be destroyed within 2 years. So please spread the word. Don’t make the same mistake we made.
Never send your child to this school. The facilities are horrible and teachers areally poorly mannered. Students can’t work out a simple equation and are being taught things that 7 years old learn in Primary school. You’re better off at a good school like Stantonbury Campus or Denbigh.
Welcome to Sir Herbert Leon Academy! The place where my nephew only just recently started his secondary school and a few weeks in he’s been bullied by childish little boys! Where the teachers are avoiding talking to my sister, and did not tell her about the situation at all, she only found out by the ambulance. I came from this school myself and this is not the first time they’ve avoided situations when it comes to bullying!! The incident happened in the school, where he was pinned down and strangled so hard that the blood vesscles in his face burst and his eyes were swollen! Coming from this school I was always told by teachers, they were there to look after us and make the school a safe place for each individual student, where they say “to make our best better” HOW DO YOU EXPECT TO BE BETTER WHEN YOU DO NOT CARE ENOUGH TO SORT SITUATIONS LIKE THIS OUT AND MAKE IT A PRIORITY! It seems to me when it came to spending 5 years of my school life here, it was all they cared about was grades, all they wanted was “that’s good but you could do better”. Whenever they sat me down to try ask about my personal problems I knew I couldn’t let them know, I couldn’t trust them, because nothing would be sorted. I spent 3 months missing education and staying at home because of a situation in the past where teachers couldn’t make me feel like I could actually go back into school and everything would be fine. Then when my family got involved and wanted to talk to the head teacher back then, they had told my parents “You need to make an appointment because all the staff members are too busy or you can contact the council and move to a different school”
Again, welcome to “Sir Herbert Leon Academy”
sir Herbert Leon academy is atrocious. I wouldn’t recommend sending your children here. they don’t sort out bullying or anything. they’ve given detentions to students for laughing and smiling in class.
