Loved my time at Grosvenor and miss it so much. The teachers were always kind and considerate. They care deeply for all students and are fantastic at actually teaching their subjects. Although the management are severely out of touch. Having said this I would recommend grosvenor to anyone.
Any negative review scores are most definitely immature with their content and hold no merit without an acceptable reason that supports a low rating, especially when the gripe relates to the amount of homework given, maybe the inability to meet the school curriculum and criteria, is a sign of an individuals lack of desire and commitment as expected by the school that they chose. A school of history for many adults within East Belfast and a hope for many children for the forthcoming year. Maybe grades have slipped, maybe too many social media interruptions, too much political indecisiveness or maybe children are failing to live up to the hopes and expectations of their parents or guardians, HOWEVER the budget for teaching is not suitable for the needs of the students or staff, especially through a unique pandemic that has left many out of pocket. Grosvenor Grammar is still a primary target for many households and is supplementing pupils with an affordable grammar education. An investment for a makeover externally and internally would re-establish this school as a pathway for students to be successful in later years.
The community of east Belfast suffered financially on all fronts, therefore criticism of this school is harsh as they have achieved high levels whilst facing financial difficulties. Maybe criticism is not for the school but instead for those who control the finances of Northern Ireland!
This school is amazing, but don’t listen to me, go to whatever school you want, would recommend though!
Teachers care deeply about students, but management is out of touch and disregards students and teachers opinions
Terrible school teachers don’t care about students
