Both of my sons started (nursery and year 4) in September 2021, having relocated to Torquay. I couldn’t fault the school to date. Everything about their experience and transition to a new school has been excellent.
My son spent mostly 5 unhappy years here where he was overlooked academically because of his behaviour. Since moving him to St Margaret’s he is a changed boy, so happy, never in trouble and an informal school test has shown he has been struggling with dyslexia all this time. What are your priorities Barton, 6 primary years gone!
A wonderful school offering so much more than others in the area. I’ve watched my children’s self-confidence leap through the support of very dedicated teachers and staff. Children and their families are made to feel so welcome and shown that learning really can be fun.
I went to Barton Hill School in the 1956 until 1962 I absolutely loved it we always felt we were able to go to the teachers nothing was just dismissed I would love to go and see what it’s like now
Today, with my business Immersive Theatres, I delivered a 6m digital planetarium experience to 90 Year 2 students at Barton Hill Academy. I was warmly welcomed by the staff and found the hall prepared just as I had requested. The morning was well organised with all groups arriving on time. The excited but well-behaved students enjoyed viewing the planetarium night sky, visiting the International Space Station and learning about the Solar System and the different types of stars. Thank you Barton Hill Academy for a very pleasant visit.
