Having joined Mount House mid Term we were quite apprehensive about what Mount House would offer. We needn’t have any doubts so far they have provided a caring environment, a range of subjects including Classics and Spanish and an exciting extracurricular program.
My son is happy and settled thanks to the help of a supportive year 7 team. The head Mrs Richardson is a listening head and encourages feedback from parents and likes the parents to communicate directly with the teachers if they have any concerns.
We are very happy and look forward to the years ahead at Mount House
My daughter is about to start in Year 7 and so far we have nothing but positive feelings about the school. I’m posting this now since I want to start seeing the reviews get turned around so that the efforts of the school under the new Head, Mrs Richardson, can be publicly acknowledged. Clearly the school has had a ropey past as a different school with a different Head but from what I can tell, it is a new start for Mount House and the school is on the ‘up’. If that’s not the case, I’ll update my review once my daughter has started and I can review from ‘the inside’.
This school is wonderful. The food is excellent. The education is first class and I can guarantee you that your child will excell at this school. There is different clubs, such as: Football,Trampoling,CC4G and many other fun activities.Honestly do not know why people say that this school is bad. This is the place to be!

My child has excelled academically with A’s and A+’s! I cannot believe how good this school is!

Thank you for everything Mount House!

Our experience of Mount House School is extremely positive.

Being a relatively new school (3 years), we were not sure what to expect.
Our expectation have all be realised. There has also been a huge investment by new owners who seem to be focused on providing modern top class facilities for all pupils.
Our daughter is very happy and often comments that the school atmosphere is friendly and she feels part of a great team. This is reflected in her academic progress which is well above that of our initial expectations and puts her firmly on track for A* /A’s for most subjects.
I am particularly pleased with the new senior leadership team who display a keen determination to make Mount House one of the best independent schools.
I am also impressed with the number of languages and subjects taught, which includes: Classics, Latin, Spanish, French, Textiles and more. There are also a variety of extra curricular activities such a LAMDA, Gymnastics, Chess to name a few.

I am very pleased to have chosen Mount House and I’m looking forward to our daughter achieving all her educational goals over the coming years.

The school is a complete let down. The Head and Deputy Head could not be bothered to reply to emails or pick up the phone to address the mess they created with regards to A level results.I Would also not recommend ICT or Economics as A Level subjects based on our experience as they were poorly taught and predicted final results were not reflective of the work done by the students. The school however does make an effort to call you when they want to collect school fees which makes it very money driven when parents expect results.
