an honorable mention to this school is the grim canteen food. Overly greasy or dry fries and 3 minescule pieces of chicken – such fine, nutritional cuisine. Since i’ve joined this school the food has always been rather questionable, but over the last 2 years or so it has gotten so much worse, its only gone downhill since they removed all decent items from the menu in order to decrease sugar intake, causing the food to be, in my opinion, inedible, and shouldn’t be served to students. Also, students to have to pay quite a bit for it, and i think for what it is, it shouldn’t be that expensive. During the first knife arch event, stacks upon stacks of food (brought into school by students) was confiscate due to it being considered “contraband items”, crisps, sweets etc, things that students enjoy to eat. This was all taken away and no one knows what was done with it. Students all brought this food with their own money, and i find it extrememly unfair that it was just taken from them, even students who bring packed lunch, such as sanwiches, got their food taken away, and that may have led them to have no food for the day ahead of them. If the school didn’t want students to bring in contraband foods, they should place alternatives + nicer food in the canteen, not whatever they serve currently.
One to many children get bullied. Teachers swear in front of the students. Teachers pushing students out the way before asking. Teachers can’t even follow their own rules. Such as not eating outside the canteen, no fizzy drinks (only water) and also taking of their blazers because their “the head of R.E) according to the library teacher. So teachers are allowed to take of their blazers because their hot but when a student is hot their not allowed to take their blazers off? Also teachers cutting in dinner lines. This causes us students in trouble for “coming in too late” when really we get pushed to the back because the greedy teachers can’t wait their turn. This school is a joke. Teachers have also said that “I don’t have to teach you either way I still get paid”.
This school has a program for years 7-8 called Skill School. It is given to the students that are selected into the class who are “gifted and talented”. This lesson goes on through most of the week. It is constant and repetitive and does not teach any subjects other than English – although claiming to teach multiple subject during it. Students are not getting a varied education but are forced to work through heaps of work.
This school is dreadful! My daughter was refused of entry from the playground, left to stand outside. I was appalled by this and was concerned for my daughters wellbeing. She asked to be let in to go to the sports hall to play football along with the boys, but was refused. White students were allowed to be let in but when my daughter and her poc friends asked they declined. I’m furious!
NEEDS TO SHUT DOWN
Stupid ugly school. Bullied? Had a fight? No one cares. Teachers do not care and favouritise students they like. I would never ever recommend you to send your child to this school ever. My brother comes here and honestly he comes home all the time with another upsetting issue. Surprised it’s open.
