Never expect a return call if you request one it purely doesn’t happen and if your child requires extra help in a subject expect them to be dropped from the exam in order to protect the schools exam average.
In the rare case that you are faced with the option of either sending them to this school or an island riddled with small pox pick the later it would be kinder on your childs future.
Very very bad school all the teachers are mugs
It’s more of a concentration camp then a school
Most of the teachers at this school deserve a good swing to the face with a steel baseball bat
One, the guy banned skirts, which sent most of the girls mad. I’m not a girl, but even I agree that this is absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary.
Two, barely any time to have lunch. Mr. Browning reduced lunchtimes from 40 minutes to 30 minutes, which was also unneeded, and with this, MANY, and I mean, MANY people complained, and yet, Browning does nothing about it.
Three, you’re only allowed up to eight days off or else your parents get fined. OK, what the actual heck, Browning? What if a kid’s poorly, and HAVE TO stay off for a couple of days. This is unfair, and just like the other two things, is completely unnecessary.
Four, the new teachers are miserable pieces of crud. They give B codes to kids for the slightest wrong doing and/or mistake. They give out E codes for one tiny thing that might be missing from a student. And if they aren’t like this, they’ll either act idiotic and dumb, or nasty for no reason.
Five, and this was always an issue, THE OVERCROWDING. Oh my… Where do I begin with this? Kids push past, barge in, punch people out the way, it’s just plain AWFUL. I commonly find myself so irritated that I almost shout at anyone coming past. I know there’s not much that can be done, but at least something to cut down the rate of people pushing past barging in.
Six, and the last thing I have to say, is the headmaster himself. He’s lazy, nasty, stated that he likes Family Guy, which is a show that shouldn’t even be brought up AT ALL in a school, and finally, he can’t take constructive criticism. He does nothing at all about all these problems that people have about this horrible excuse for a school, and more often that not, punishes the person who dared to criticise the school in any way.
Overall, Thornton Grammar/Beckfoot Thornton needs improvement desperately. Right now, it’s very boring, dull, and overall just not a good school, especially with these horrible changes that Mr. Browning made.
You can already see the star rating I gave, but if I had to give it a score out of 10, then I’d give it a 3/10 at most. Again, this place desperately needs improvement.
