We moved our children here last year during the Pandemic.

They settled in very easily, the staff are so dedicated and supportive and really do see each child as an individual, and want to get the best out of them.

Communication from teachers and staff is excellent.

During lockdown they consistently received a full day of online lessons, where high standards of teaching continued.

We are so grateful that our children are being nurtured and taught so well.

For anyone that is thinking of moving their children here we would highly recommend it.

My daughter is in Y1, so has been to this school for a bit more than a year. We are really happy with it. She loves it, learns a lot, and is always happy in the morning to go to school. We are a household with two languages spoken. She is learning a third one at school, and it’s really nice to see that they also speak in the other languages with her. The set up/work provided during lockdown was great, and the staff is always ready to help with any issue, be it face to face, over the phone, via email or on Teams. The kids there are very kind, and well behaved. The personal support each child is having is the best selling point for us (plus the fact that the staff is really knowledgeable and great at teaching/maintaining a school/looking after our children). Recommend 100% !
My daughter joined the SPSP family during lockdown in April 2020 due it’s close links with Chesterfield Royal hospital offering places to staff who were struggling to work and educate their children due to lack of capacity in state schools. I moved my daughter permanently to SPSP in September 2020 and she has simply never looked back. The ethos of the school runs through the children’s veins, they are polite, considerate, kind, confident and articulate.
My daughter enjoys every moment at SPSP, there is good wrap around care including breakfast provision and after school clubs which change each term to ensure the children have varied physical and recreational opportunities to participate in. There are also holiday camps which my daughter loves to attend. The housekeeping team offer and excellent menu of home cooked meals and my food is often compared to Mrs W’s – and of course it is never as good! Academically my daughter has made significant improvements in both Maths and English, teaching staff are of the highest standard and show a genuine passion abs enthusiasm for teaching, they keep parents informed of the child’s progress through various methods of communication including email updates, newsletters, parents evening abs of course ad hoc corridor conversations! The biggest selling point is that this small friendly school operates very similarly to a secondary having many specialist teachers, and therefore embedding the secondary principles of moving around the school to different classrooms and venues becomes second nature. My daughter is encouraged by all to work to her strengths, always aiming high to enable herself to be the best she can possibly be in readyness for her next chapter in her educational journey. I just wish that they would have a secondary campus because she would stay at SPSP throughout her remaining school life.
A great place where learning and support for parents is evident everyday. My son is now in Year 2 at SPSP; he has enjoyed every minute of his experience so far. The curriculum is so broad and provides the students with a real love for learning. There is so much enrichment and excitement in the school; during COVID their support for the students and parents was excellent. I work full time and this involves long hours and also the need to change my plans quickly; I have nothing but praise for how the school staff; the teams in the office, the teachers and the leaders are able to respond at support me and my son. I have never once questioned my decision to opt for SPSP; it was the right decision in so many ways.
My son spent 7 wonderful years here, the team are nurturing, inclusive, inspirational and caring. The ethos of values of SPSP run through the school at every level. I am privileged and proud to be a part of this school team & know that my son’s school memories are of happiness, kindness & opportunity.
