As my son put it, Sancton Wood turned my son from a no one into a someone. I put this down to the excellent pastoral care which is second to none, but he is now also excelling academically and is on track to get excellent grades in his GCSEs. Most importantly, he is very happy and loves the caring atmosphere at the school.
From my experience as a parent of a child who was a student at Sancton Wood, this is a school with the pastoral care of its students at its heart. This was never more apparent than during the the Covid-19 pandemic. When compared to the experience of other families at other schools nearby, it is clear that the staff at Sancton Wood went above and beyond to ensure that the children continued to learn, and enjoy learning, despite the upheaval to the school year during the pandemic.
But then, this is not a surprise. Throughout our child’s time at Sancton Wood, their wellbeing and education was always prioritised and there was always excellent communication to them and us from all of the staff. Sancton Wood provided a wonderful environment for our child to be happy and thrive in whilst enjoying their learning, and I would really recommend Sancton Wood to anyone looking for a personalised education for their child.
This is a lovely little school. The teachers are excellent and attentive. As a parent, I feel I can always speak with the teachers and at the end of the week, I receive a thorough and thoughtful newsletter with an executive summary from the head. My children love going everyday to this school.
After the first 2 terms in A level, I unfortunately have to state that the constant change of teachers during the school year does not have a positive effect.Especially in mathematics it has a big I would not choose this school again. I find them too unacademic. The bad communication that we have experienced so far in private schools. The school food is inedible.
Outstanding school, with brilliant teachers who really care for the students. They make room for individuals while maintaining very high standards and as a result great academic result for your children.
