this school is not ideal if you want a future, teachers do not do well with students, they fail you, mr dobson promised me a 4 in maths, like where is that 4 babes. still waiting on it. by the way, james odell i’ll see you at mash on fresh tuesday. also the prom was not very pleasant, we had money to do what we want and it didn’t work out. however, i want my water gun back it’s from poundland so a pound or the gun please.
Absolutely awful. The school have lied to me on numerous occasions. They should have a duty of care to the pupils BUT they ignore this to save their own skins. The Head has actually denied anonymity to a child who revealed another student was self-harming, despite their whistle-blowing policy (available on their website). The child went on to be bullied. The Head has denied any wrong doing.
The staff are not sufficiently welfare trained. They have allowed my son to be Parentally Alienated and enabled this abuse to occur for almost 2 years. Nobody at the school knows about PA and nobody is going to take any decisions to become trained.
I would not send a child here through choice. I would urge you to avoid at all costs.
You should really bring your child to this lovely place of a school; where excellence is a habit, the teachers (especially bridges) are sooo reasonable and favouritism is really NOT in their vocabulary. Take your child here..

If you’re a spanner.
If your looking to give your child 2 days of isolation for slapping someone whilst when a “good” student has had a fight and got a yellow card. And talking about fights…the way the school sorts out punishments for fights is if you win the fight, you get the big punishment so next time you get in a fight…try your best to get beaten up so you don’t get in trouble.
Also, the school suggest that in a fight, you should walk away and tell a teacher…which is perfect logic because so it happens that the person that you are in a fight with will just give you the chance to go and snitch to a teacher.

On the positive side: the kids are nice.

This school needs to improve in so many areas!
Why are so many students and parents complaining about the same issues?

Mr Kidd (Head Teacher) proffessess to want to be an all inclusive school because he has been on a years Future Leadership Programme, as nobody has heard of this course! We must take it that this makes him instantly wonderful?

According to The Independent newspaper 20th September 2017…
Mr Kidd aims close the gap between the “advantaged” and “disadvantaged”.

His statements read more of a pompouse narcissistic, when in fact the real truth is Mr Kidd does not engage with students or parents as it is beneath him to do so. He is more in favours of engaging with his some of the staff and parents of the ” more advantaged!” Everyone else is dismissed!

The architecture may “blow his mind” but Mr Kidd will not “achieve” no matter how many courses he attends, due to the many complaints from both students and parents since September 2017 of when he took up his role, and with many of the teachers and staff who are inadequate at their role of teaching and non supporting of those students who are supposed to “achieve there full potential!”

The school may be supported by Parkside Academy and Coleridge Community College, who they are also failing and some staff teaching at all three venues.

I would suggest Mr Kidd would need more proffessional attitudes (including himself!) Employ teachers who “want to and can, teach” for all students! Putting the students first, in order for them to be enabled to “Achieve.” As this is the aim of schooling! not just Mr Kidd’s personal pre-written and submitted (by himself) accomplishment in a newspaper! As it is very clear that the two do not match.

Many complaints, are made from many students and parents/caregivers regarding the same issues and lack of support.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT ANY ASPECTS OF THIS SCHOOL,
THE OUTCOME COULD BE!

‘A no blame policy” (no findings were made upon speaking to individual members of staff of yours or the students complaint!!)

– ‘All teachers are respectful of all students and provide a nurturing environment with compassion towards all students and, go out of their way to do this!” (IF THIS WAS THE CASE THEIR WOULD BE NO COMPLAINTS!!)

-‘Another member of staff was walking past and did not see The student being shouted at or made to cry by the deputy head!’ (the conversation being longer than that of ‘someone walking past!)

-‘It was a private conversation so we cannot comment’ ! (when the Student hears a pupil being negatively spoken about by members of staff and one being the receptionist!) the receptionist being heard on more than one occasion for making NEGATIVE comments about pupils!

PLEASE TAKE NOTE -If the Student dares to challenge members of staff about their behaviours or try to speak to Mr Kidd, this will be ignored! MR KIDD WILL DENY THAT THE STUDENT OR YOURSELF TRIED TO SPEAK TO HIM!

However, due the student challenging the behaviours of particular staff and trying to speak to the Head to be heard! The head ignored this and had the student locked out of using Google Classroom, PUT INTO ISOLATION!!!!! WHILST BEING TOLD BY MR KIDD……. YOU CAN HAVE AN OPINION BUT NOTHING NEGATIVE TOWARDS TRUMPINGTON COMMUNTY COLLEGE!! The findings of this up to stage 3 complaint was. ‘THIS IS THE CORRECT PROCEEDURE!!!” The fact, all student use chrome-books for school work and homework….. THE STUDENT WAS GIVEN PAPER TO WRITE ON!!! (this would then be seen by other students and attention brought to the individual)

THE STUDENT WAS NEVER GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO DISCUSS THE ISSUES THEY RAISED!

As a student, parent or guardian you may well be ignored, dismissed or even lied to! However, “ALL STAFF WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND WHAT IS EXPECTED TO HELP AND SUPPORT THE STUDENT AND YOURSELF’!!!.

The descent staff and teachers who are valued will then be spoken to by the head for actually trying to resolve some issues and support the student. Which is demeaning and insulting!

This may be why their is a the worryingly high number of staff changes, with a number of pupils and teachers having already left since opening in September 2016.

I suggest looking at other reviews, research and read Mr Kidds vision of the school and support for Pupils is just a well written statement! Whilst his statement ‘EXCELLENCE IS A HABIT’ Is in fact the biggest conflicting quote and a contradiction of its true meaning and lack of understanding by Mr Kidd!

THE STUDENT IS NO LONGER AT THIS SCHOOL AND WAS TAKEN OUT OF THE DAY OF ISOLATION. HAPPILY THE DIFFERENCE IS, A NEW MORE POSITIVE SUPPORTIVE SCHOOL.
