I attended The Song School for 6 years before moving to University. I started off with singing lessons before joining songwriting classes as well. This allowed me to develop my piano skills and feel more confident performing my own songs. I have met the most amazing people here and have had some incredible opportunities – playing at different gigs and festivals, being featured in a music video, and talking on the radio to discuss previous upcoming events! It is such a welcoming environment with all of the coaches and other students being so supportive. I love this place so much that I didn’t want to leave! So now I work as the office assistant here!!
Our son has attended the Song School’s Saturday Music School classes since he was about 8 years old. He is now 13 and over that time he has made many friends and met like minded collaborators, who have bonded over their shared love of playing and creating music. He has also enjoyed many great opportunities to play at local events, whether busking in the High Street or playing to a sold out crowd at the Palace Theatre, and we have seen how much he has grown and developed thanks to the help of Louisa and the team. For anyone whose child has an interest in performance or songwriting, the Song School provides a warm and welcoming environment and is very much recommended!
The Song School has been such a fabulous school for one of my sons to excel in singing and the other one to kick off his interest in drumming lessons. Louisa, who runs the school, is always so patient with them (both were very nervous when joining) and kind. It’s such a great little place to have in our community. The boys love going back each week.
I cannot recommend the team at The Song School enough. I started working with them back in 2017/2018 in their Songwriting School as well as other projects and as a young performer I was given plenty of space to grow and learn new skills. The confidence boost working with Louisa and Olly as well as other young people has put me in good stead for a lifelong career in the industry. I’m now studying music performance at university thanks to the skills I learnt working with The Song School over the years. Thoroughly recommend to any parents looking for classes or 1-1s for their kids
My Daughter has had private lessons and group sessions for nearly four years now and she loves it! Alongside lessons EVC put together a number of shows where family and friends can see how far everyone’s come.
Not only has my daughters voice benefitted from the lessons but also her confidence has been supercharged, plus she’s made some great friends who enjoy getting together and making music!
I cannot recommend Louisa and the team from EVC enough they do a great job and go above and beyond on supporting their students no matter where their music takes them!
