My daughter has just left SCM and my son is currently at the school. Both have thoroughly enjoyed and enjoy attending the school. The head teacher, deputy head and all staff are very supportive and approachable and always willing to listen to concerns. My son struggles with learning but the staff always show patience and take time to help him.
The children leave the school polite and very well behaved, this is a result of the principals and discipline that are instilled in the children as they progress through the school. Highly recommend this school.
Really good school my Daughter loves it!

All teachers are incredible and
very welcoming.
They listening to the ideas and worries of the children and the families.

The education and support they give to all pupils is amazing. The curriculum is always communicated with parents and carers.

The grounds of the school are well kept and we always feel reinsuring our daughter is safe.

I’d like to thank all the staff for all the hard work.

SCM is an excellent school, and our son has had a very positive experience here. The school has helped build his confidence and resilience and encourages all students to take part in all aspects of school life. There are numerous extra opportunities with lunchtime clubs and after school activities and a really busy school calendar. Communication with parents has got better in recent years, and there are always staff present to welcome the children into school. Most importantly, all the staff care about the children and create a safe and happy environment for them to learn in.
I have one child at the school, one who has just left and one yet to join. It’s all very well a parent commenting on a school but its the children who are in it day in and day out and both of my children who have attended St Cuthbert Mayne have been very happy at the school. It makes parenting a lot easier when they are content.

The leap from infants to juniors has been just the right amount enabling them to become more independent each year as they learn. Any issues that have arisen have been taken seriously and swiftly dealt with.

I cannot fault their SEN provision, interventions and support for my eldest. Staff are approachable and contactable and willing to listen. I feel our children have been allowed to grow into the individuals that they are with their strengths being encouraged and their weaknesses aided, thus reaching their full potential.

Both have made strong friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. There is a strong community feel with Catholic values being upheld.

Yes there have been changes with the senior leadership and some changes to things within the school but this has brought about positive changes such as more forest school which the children absolutely love.

We are happy with our choice of school and will choose it again next year.

Both my children have attended St Cuthbert Mayne and one is in the final year. Both have thrived under the excellent teaching methods, and very nurturing staff who work at this school.
My son had Mrs W (also deputy now) for 2 years when he was there, she is a real asset to the school with her boundless energy and excellent teaching.
I would say the staff are all fair when it comes to awards, and certificates etc.
I would highly recommend this school to anyone thinking about it.
