Highly recommended, Kevin is an absolute rockstar and legend for teaching, I would sing his praises if I could sing. His knowledge, patience and ongoing encouragement makes the experience well worth it as an adult student. Awesome school, fantastic teachers, simply the best!
Kind, friendly and supportive environment that lets you develop your musical skills at your own pace and makes sticking to your goals possible in an easier and less challenging way than self tutoring. You really do develop comprehension of music theory and multi-genre playing beyond chord formation with Kevin and the rest of the team!
The team at Kevin Downing’s Guitar School are wonderful and have a huge amount of knowledge and expertise. Our son has had a great few years learning guitar and has developed a wide range of skills. We’re grateful for all the opportunities provided, and the engagement with both our son and us, as parents.
This is a great place to learn! Real happy atmosphere and the teachers are brilliant at what they teach. It’s more than just a half hour lesson: the students get to do simple jams together (guided by the teachers) for 10 mins (after 30 mins of learning with the teacher) which is great for them to begin playing with, and in company. And thanks to Tracey & Joella – you are both fantastic teachers for our son!! We absolutely recommend Kevin’s guitar school.
We have been using Kev’s guitar school for a number of years now and have enjoyed the experience of watching our daughter learn and grow her guitar playing abilities exponentially. The team at Kev’s are super knowledgeable, friendly and always accommodating. The teaching methods and jam session at the end of lessons has been invaluable, thanks for doing what you do!
