I can only speak from my own experience. Both my children attended Rainhill High. To demonstrate the level of teaching and nurturing they have had … one is already at a Russell Group University as are some of her peers from the school. A couple of her friends even got into Oxford. My son is still there – achieving highly and is very happy and settled. I have approached the school with two issues and both were dealt with very efficiently. We, as parents, have received exemplary support from the staff.
Brilliant school. Both my children attended the main school and the Sixth Form centre and have turned out fantastic, level-headed and educated individuals that are doing extremely well in their own specialisms. A lot of the negative comments on here refer to incidents that happen outside of school and are not a reflection of the school. Don’t believe all you read… this is a top school in the St. Helens area and one of the Top 100 in the UK.
As a local resident, I think the school is unable to manage its pupils. They are causing havoc in the area, with harassment, stone throwing, property damage, spitting on peoples cars and so on. Myself and other residents have repeatedly called both the school and the police about the ongoing problems, but the school has shown a total lack of interest in attempting any resolution or even talking to the residents about the problems. The Headmaster, Pout, never wants to talk, write or communicate in any way. We’re actually wondering if the man even exists.
A great school, my nephew and niece, both went there and came out with great results and are now both studying at university with a bright future ahead, all down to the teachers and everybody at Rainhill high well done.
I’ve only heard very good things about rainhill, the teachers are very professional and very helpful great leadership.
