Worst school ever! No support with anxiety or bereavement. Bullying is not addressed, my daughter was removed from class & placed in isolation & not the bully!
Teachers get your act together & support your students!
Dr Lodwick you need to address issues with bullying and get a programme in place to support students with mental health issues
The school is rubbish with mental health. One of my friends was struggling with depression and the school didn’t really understand her and would think she was just ‘misbehaving’. I think the teachers should be more educated on mental health and how to help people.
Not exactly full of the fondest memories here. Although some teachers were good, unfortunately they left. Almost got disqualified from a GCSE for being accused for taking my coursework home when my teacher had just misplaced it and never got an apology. On top of this the pastoral support was lacking and bullying was constant within classes. Parent’s evenings were also a waste of time through teachers being unaware of the student’s statuses within class. However, that being said, collaborations with The Forest School were always fun, in particular for productions
my daughter has been at Millais for nearly 18 months of which I have been very disappointed with the school. They don’t seem to know if my child is present or absent from school which is a worry. also been really disappointed with the teachers not staying for long so when you ask any teacher about your daughter then you are always told i’m not sure of her grades or how she is doing as only met her last week. my daughter who is very sporty got a red (means area of concern) for PE and when my daughter asked her teacher why the teacher replys that she copy and paste her last report as she wasn’t sure who my daughter was.
after reading all the ofstead reports I thought my daughter was in safe hands but just had disappointment after disappointment.
Very poor school fo not help if your child is bullied.
