This is a great school, my mother was a maths teacher there for several years and she was very impressed by how conscientious, studious and altruistic the students were. They are taught with a strong sense of community, social responsibility and maturity, well prepared for life ahead.
The best school I have ever been to… The best 6 years of my life probably. From grade 2-grade 8. All the teachers are incredible and everyone is so friendly. This school made me realize the world I live in, the nature because of the service learning and following the IB program. Thank you for everything, ISL. I will never forget this till my last school and beyond that. All the poems, the best boring essays OF MY LIFE and so many fun activities to do in group with my BESTT friends!. Bye, KEEP IT UP!!! Hopefully my next school will be close to being as good as this one. Good luck!! I WILL visit as much as I can every time I can!
Kindest of my regards,
from Daniel Navarrete, all my friends and a nice goodbye.
It depends on what you are looking for. If you look for a place where your child is happy and plays a lot even when 16 or 17 than this is the place. If you are looking for an academic school run away. This is all beside academic. It’s more a summer camp. My children have been throwing away one year at ISL and didn’t do anything. They do a lot of Nothing which consists in everything besides studying. Most parents are expats so stay few years and go and don’t pay attention to school quality but need to park there child. Unfortunately lack of preparation is payed at a high price when you enter University.
Our 3 children started at ISL aged 9-17 in 2014 . The oldest graduated in 2016 and the 2 others are still in the school. We find that they all developed tremendously well in many ways throughout the years, encouraged, pushed, and supported by their teachers. The IB profile values are consistently present, which we appreciate a lot.
The food was horrific there, inedible, they put in a vending machine with “healthy” items that the kids could just stare at. We got lost in the park on a marathon run and nobody came to look for us, good job.
