I went to this school a long time ago and now I am a proud parent of my son going to Scotch. What an incredible school, I cannot speak highly enough of Scotch. A multi generational positive experience. For myself, I went to multiple schools before starting my Scotch journey and I can say from experience that you get what you pay for when it comes to education. My education and school life changed for the better once I started at Scotch. The facilities, the passion and dedication of the teaching staff, the programs, the opportunities, the leadership and all round culture of the school is second to none. It really is the best of the best. Even a friend of mine who taught at Scotch but went to a different top private school themselves when they were a student acknowledged that Scotch was way better than the school they went to. The teachers at Scotch are the best of the best, the quality of education is just off the scale, top of the league and with many support and extension programs too for students both ends of the scale.
We couldn’t afford to put our son in during his earlier primary school years and regrettably, he has missed major educational foundations until he started at Scotch, now he’s on the right path and had lots of fantastic support provided by the school. If only we could have started sooner at Scotch. We only wish we could have sooner for him. It’s been the best thing we ever did for him. Everything has changed for the better for him, the school has evolved a long way since I was there, the facilities, programs, pathways and support is incredible. I am truly excited about my sons future at Scotch and I cannot recommend this school enough. The pipe band, the culture, the opportunities, the facilities, the dedication of the staff, if you are considering Scotch and reading this, take it from me as both a past student and parent, this is the right school. It’s exceptional! It offers great support, it has the most passionate staff, people who dedicate their entire lives to the school and it has a culture unlike others. I wouldn’t be where I am today were it not for these foundations I experienced and learned when I went there and I couldn’t be happier with the school for my son.
With one boy starting In year 3 (in year 12 now), then one in year 6 (graduating last year), sending our boys to this school is one of the best decisions we ever made. They have loved it and so have we. It has been worth every bit of the effort required – what a privilege..
It’s a great school, my 3 boys attended and had a great time, excellent education and sport and they made brilliant friends for life . Ignore the idiots reviews. They could do more to cut costs as control the fees.
We have recently moved to Perth from the UK, and visited a number of schools both state and private. After much deliberation and talking to various people (from people met on dog walks to the local hair salon), we felt Scotch College was the best fit for our two boys (aged 8 and 5). Two weeks in, and the boys absolutely love the school. They are so happy, which to us is THE most important aspect. Secondly the nurturing and caring nature of the teachers (namely Ms Sayers and Mr Munday in Junior School, who are absolutely awesome) and the style of teaching is second to none. And Marley our dog, loves his walk round the huge oval playing fields in the mornings! Thanks also to Mrs Hodges for making the transition to their new school so effortless.
The boys that are violent and assault and bully others are often unpunished with the excuse of “boys will be boys” the worst punishment a kid bullying another will be a rare suspension so they can return and do it again. they have unrealistic expectations of their students and seem to support toxic masculinity with large amounts of sport outside of school hours and leaving bullies unpunished (as mentioned above) as smaller violations your children could get expelled for
