DD2 schools are great but this new bus app sucks, it was literally gassed like it was going to be this amazing new app. We saw it in our email, class dojo, the dd2 page, facebook..everywhere it said download the new transportation app! Whole time the app doesnt even work and they should go back to using the one they used last year. That actually worked and when there is a substitute bus driver who comes earlier then the actual time the bus should come, PARENTS SHOULD KNOW THAT. If the site says the bus is coming at 6:35 & the sub bus driver comes at 6:28 it becomes a problem because now we have children missing the bus and this is a huge apartment complex.
Update: I just witnessed an argument between a sub driver & another parent , while the children were on the bus. Those children are probably scared. The driver continued to argue & yell at the parent when hes already behind 20 mins . The children are already late for school. He pulled up with an attitude
Had the most unpleasant year and a half working as a custodian for DD2, working for knightsville elementary was the most toxic work experience I have ever encountered my mother and I have been disrespected by the staff and managers solely because we worked better then them, we encountered life threats and discrimination and after all that they moved us to the Summerville high school where the custodian manager who heard a false rumor from the toxic coworkers from knightsville and proceeded to disrespect me and talk down to me in front of a hallway full of kids, the person who is supposed to help you in these situations is never on your side and so are HR. After clearly being discriminated up on they told my mother to deal with it and go back to work so if you have any self respect for yourself and your stress level please stay away from DD2!
I would not recommend anyone to work for DD2. This district will cheat their employee out of money. They want you to be everything but what you are hired to do. They will try to make you do things such as stripping and waxing floors, when you not a floor tech. I have head now from inhaling strong chemical in unventilated work environment. They don’t care about their workers. Sick leave and/or PTO is little to nothing, it will take you 3yrs plus just to accumulate a weeks vacation. They don’t show or give any employee appreciation. This is by far the worst job I have ever had.
