Yes there are some troublesome students (I was one of them), but that does not change the fact that this school has teachers that truly care about you. I am a Mechanical Engineer (Kettering University) soon about to pursue a Business masters. George Leland Elementary defiantly laid the foundation for my interest in math and science way before STEM was a focus for the public school system.
George Leland School is a great elementary school in the Austin area on the westside, with the leadership of principal Dr. Lawrence it will excel even more cause she cares about the children and the well being of there education.The kids and parents love her ?????? so dont leave George Leland Dr Lawerence.?????
I think this school is a diamond in the rough. If the community and parents around it would participate and have open dialogue it could Arts/STEM /Great. The community is at odds with one another.
