Montessori School of Hacienda Heights has been a blessing for our family. My two daughters have been part of the school’s infant care and preschool programs. Our experience with both has been absolutely wonderful.

From drop off to pick up, every aspect of this school is welcoming, safe, and nurturing for its students. The staff are the very best part of the experience; They are helpful, kind, and trustworthy. Our daughter’s teachers care for them like family. There are not enough words to express my appreciation for the peace of mind that I have in leaving my children in their care.

My infant daughter is so loved and cared for that she throws herself at her teacher as soon as she sees her in the morning. When I pick her up, my daughter often cries because she does not want to leave her teacher’s side. This speaks immensely on how comfortable and nurtured my child feels at this school. I can go about my day confident that my baby is in great, loving and caring hands.

My oldest daughter, though she has transitioned out of MSHH, loves the school and insists on coming along when I pick up her sister from infant care. She speaks fondly of her former teachers and the good memories she made at the school.

Another of the many things I love about MSHH is the numerous activities and celebrations they have for their students. Thanksgiving lunch, Halloween parade, Easter egg hunt, Chinese new year celebration, and Valentine’s Day gift exchange are just a few of the fun activities the students take part in. I find it so heart-warming for the staff and teachers to make the time and effort to make these experiences fun and special for the kids.

Furthermore, the communication from staff and teachers is excellent. I am promptly notified if my child is feeling ill, has an incident, or needs something from home. Monthly newsletter provide information on school news, updates, and upcoming events.

I can go on and on; This review does not do justice to how wonderful our experience has been at MSHH. I recommend this school 100% to parents looking for a safe and caring place for their children

I had high hopes bringing my child to this school. Being a part of the Hacienda Heights community for 30 plus years, 3 generations attending in the HLPUSD, I expected The Montessori to stand by their statement “LEAVE NO CHILD BEHIND”. My child was kicked out after a month of attendance. It was obvious my child was being neglected and isolated in such a short period from fun activities. As parents we need to stop and ask WHY. What treatment is my child getting at school that would bring back corrective behaviors established at home? The way a child is treated or bullied will lead to hitting or biting. The teacher (TRANSITIONING CLASS) did not once reach out to ask for my help as the child’s acting parent. I would’ve sat in class to see what was triggering the child’s behavior. I would’ve LOVED TO HELP if given the opportunity. Being a fine establishment, I would expect professional corrective plans. I would EXPECT BETTER COMMUNICATION from the staff. Instead I received an unexpected call from the Director telling me she had my child in the office and come pick him up. I felt like my groomer calling me to tell me my dog was ready for pick up.

THINK DEEPLY as if this were your child and you are the parent, a child being treated this way.

Unfortunately I am beyond disappointed. An innocent child was LEFT BEHIND!

Thank you for your time.

I have had my two boys go to this school and they both love it! They both had speech delays when they first started and they just flourished while being there. The amount they have learned and grown has been amazing to watch. The teachers truly care and my kids have connections with each of them because of the support they give not only to their own classes but the entire school. I connect with them and can talk about my kids development. We stay on the same page and so I continue the teachings at home. The celebrations and shows they put on are so fun. It truly is a second home and safe place.
