A gem of an art museum!

For a small town, this is an incredible art museum. The variety of exhibits the day we visited, the incredible quality of various sculptures dispersed throughout the building, and even a life glass making demonstration made for a very memorable visit. The standard that this art museum presented was a very pleasant surprise!

Definitely worth your visit if you’re around the area and looking for an enriching experience!

My first visit ever to FIA but Imma gonna come back! I noticed FIA is located in what appears to be a whole complex of art related centers. Admission and parking are free but there is a box into which you can drop donations. Great displays of Asian, African, Artic Rim art. Great collections of oil painting and sculptures. I loved the display emphasizing Detroit art and it’s influences. I learned so much.
Such a nice museum, loved the exhibits which are very inspiring and intricately put together. Visited on a weekend and the entry was free. Moreover they have art school and different programs for engagement of the visitors. The gift shop had very cute things to shop for. The highlight would be their glass exhibit with exceptional masterpieces!
