Dear Acton Family,
As I was filling out the application for Lucy’s new prospect school, I read and pasted the beautiful feedback and recommendations you have put together. You didn’t have to do that, because it isn’t standard. But again, there is nothing standard about the love, care and dedication this beautiful team of humans expresses on a daily basis.

It brought tears to our eyes when we read how deeply are your regards for our family. Moving to St. George was, hands down, the best experience and decision we have made to allow Lucy to be close to nature and learn community living that we, as parents, are surprised to have also experience and learned by meeting wonderful people like yourselves. We felt welcomed and supported through this time at Acton and I do hope families, like ours, who have no relatives or additional support can find you as a group of humans who are not only concerned about building a school and learning platform, but a better world in community. Your program truly allowed Lucy to blossom, her love reading and skills with numbers come from the activities that are rhythm based and creativity driven.

We are so grateful to the time we spent with you.
In light and grace,
The Wrights

I can’t say enough about how amazing Acton Academy has been for us! I’m so grateful that my children are learning in a hands-on environment where they’re encouraged to think outside the box and learn skills that will actually be applicable to real life, rather than just be taught to memorize and regurgitate answers. Seriously such an amazing place. My daughter literally can’t wait to get to sleep at night so she can wake up and have another awesome day at Acton! My son is 4 and is a part of Acton’s Montessori program. He has Autism, and it isn’t a hinderance at all! He gravitates toward what HE likes to do, and is encouraged to learn how he needs to, instead of being forced into a traditional learning box. All children learn differently and have different strengths. Those strengths are to be encouraged, and that’s exactly what they do at Acton. Ms. Bobbie, Ms. Aubrey and Ms. Star are absolutely wonderful and the Lindsey’s are such amazing people too. Couldn’t be happier!!
My 7-year-old son has been attending Acton Academy for several months. We couldn’t be happier with his learning experience so far. Self-driven learning may sound odd for those of us who were taught in traditional schools, but I highly recommend learning more about how it works in practice. My son is eager to go to school everyday, never complains about boredom, and tells me he loves learning. This school fosters independence and empowers learners to take charge of their own lives. If that’s what you’re wanting for your own children, do your whole family a favor and start a conversation with the head of the school to learn more.
