We had been a terrible experience with this school. The teacher feels omniscient, boasts about her vast knowledge and experience, even more than the child’s pediatrician and other professional medical experts, displaying skepticism in the professional reports. Instead of finding ways to help a child, she is extremely nitpicky about child’s behavior, her constant complaints about child’s behavior sharply contradicted the professional experts.

We often wondered if the teacher was overburdened due to staff shortage in the school and when I asked the teacher about how is the school compliant with the student-teacher ratio 6:1 mentioned in her School handbook, she asked us to pull my child out of school immediately (without a single day notice). There seemed to be only 1 teacher and she is getting part time help from one of the parents, when questioned about the ratio, she tried to justify saying her husband is also a teacher or training to be a teacher, therefore meeting the student-teacher ratio. So, please double check with the school to ensure you child is receiving right amount of attention. I hope the school addressing gaps in staffing.

While my son was enrolled at this school, we were constantly worried about our son, given the constant nitpicking from the teacher. After we changed the school from Cascade Montessori, my son has been thriving and he has shown tremendous improvement in overall development. Every kid is different and every kid has their own pace of learning, a right teacher will be patient and supportive through this learning process. We felt like Cascade Montessori head teacher was not supportive and didn’t provide a healthy and supportive environment. So, please choose your kid’s pre-school wisely.

My daughter has been attending Cascade Montessori with Ms. Ooma for almost two years. Ms Ooma creates a warm and welcoming environment for the children, where they can learn, play, and grow together. She is very knowledgeable about child development and learning styles, and tailors her teaching to meet the needs of each child. The school is well-equipped and organized, with a variety of materials and activities for the children to explore and discover.

Ms. Ooma communicates well with the parents and gives regular feedback on the child’s progress and achievements. She also plans various school activities and events during the year, which creates a sense of community and collaboration among the families.

My daughter has learned so much over the last two years, not only academically but also socially and emotionally. She has become more confident, independent, curious, and respectful. She loves going to school every day and always tells me how much she loves Ms. Ooma. I highly recommend Cascade Montessori to anyone who is looking for a quality education & care for their child. Ms. Ooma is a great teacher and has made a positive difference in my daughter’s life.

To begin with we got impressed after our first meet with Ms Ooma, watching her energy and passion for the school and the development of the kids. Our 5 years old son has gone there for 6 months and we are more than satisfied with his development during that time. From circle time to other activities he always felt engaged over there.I also noticed that other kids in the school becoming more friendly and confident over time over there. Other than that all US important events were celebrated there with full vigor and I certainly feel that made our kid more aware of the country and it’s culture. He also got better in maths and reading during his stint over there. Ms Ooma was also very thorough in providing the feedback of my kid during parent teachers. Last but not the least their graduation ceremony was the most beautiful and intimate event I’ve seen in such a setting so far. All in all it was great experience there and I’d strongly recommend this school and Ms Ooma for anyone seeking Montessori education.
