I have had a great experience completing the XTMAS program at Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts Van Nuys. All staff members worked incredibly hard everyday allowing me to remain positive, motivated, and focused during the program. I do plan on joining the RT program. I appreciate Ms. Letty, Theresa, and Mr. Q for approving my application and helping me throughout the program.
Dr. Latif and Ms. Lopez are amazing MA instructors!! Their lab sessions were exciting. Classroom interaction is a must in order to gain experience. In class lectures are brief so I recommend to read the MA book ahead. A lot of homework is given and it will help to pass the NHA exam. Online lectures are provided by instructors from other campuses and some online modules are self taught.
Dr. Bonic is a marvelous XT instructor!!! Her commitment to going beyond the textbook, engaging the class in hands-on activities, and interaction discussions makes this program worth taking. Also, her patience and willingness to answer questions, provide guidance, and offer constructive feedback makes her the best. Prepare to be fed with important information that will help you succeed in externship and passing this course. All of her lectures will allow you to flourish academically. Her passion for radiography will help you enjoy this program. It may be a lot of information to take in, but it all makes sense once it is time to engage in hands-on activities.
I also appreciate Mr. Meza for all his hard work coordinating sites and checking up on me during externship. Thank you for making sure that I was comfortable at each location, and for searching for sites available and flexible with my working schedule.

As an XTMAS graduate I can say that the Gurnick experience has been nothing but positive. So positive I am looking to continue on to the RT program! Firstly my enrollment process was clear and straight forward due to the outstanding help and guidance I received from Jackie in admissions, and also Letty who is an all-star and was there to answer any questions I had throughout the program. Also, Ms. Webster who worked tirelessly to find as much financial aid as possible for me. Secondly my XT instructor Dr. Bonic, who is truly passionate about wanting her students to succeed, made the learning process fun and engaging! Dr. Bonic brings an array of knowledge and insight to the field that makes you want to learn! I also have to shout out my MA instructors Dr. Latif, Dr. Gomez, and Ms. Lopez for keeping the learning environment productive and friendly! If you’re looking for a career in the Radiology field, I would highly recommend exploring your options with Gurnick Academy!

I recently graduated from Gurnick Academy as a Radiology Technologist. For those that are reading this review, know that you must be mentally prepared and determined to work hard. Especially, for the last part of the program; which was a massive crash course of all the subjects. It does sound stressful and anxiety filled BUT Aarash Q Kioumehr, better known as Mr. Q, made it stress free. He simplified everything and always placed in extra effort to make sure his students understood the subject. He went as far as to stay late after each class for one-on-one sessions. He always found the strength, energy, and the time for his students. Not a lot of teachers do that now-a-days. So, pretty much, He is that teacher you hope to get. If you do decide to continue moving forward with Gurnick, know that you need to work hard but and will be receive support throughout the duration of the program from the faculty. Each faculty was very helpful & supportive through the entire program!
