I like the school and most teachers are very nice. They actually care about the kids education which is great. I do feel that they can communicate a lot better with functions in school. I know a lot of things are done online and via email nowadays, but reaching out to the parents directly should be prioritized. Many of us are working parents and by the time we get home we are exhausted. I know I rarely look through the thousands of emails in my inbox. Because of the email situation I miss out on a lot of important things. My son has advanced now to the 7th grade and they will have a celebration tomorrow afternoon that I just found out about today. This celebration is through zoom in which my son isnt even excited for. After seeing many of his friends in the same grade who attend other schools graduate and have a full on graduation ceremony is very upsetting to find out that he wont be doing the same but having a celebration through zoom. I expected a lot more from this school and am hoping that next year they at least get to graduate the proper way.
There are constant issues, either they will call about extremely little things or dont when something big happens. miscommunication and unprofessionalism is okay for the adults and not okay for the children. The deans and teachers will only listen if you are agreeing with them if you have any opposing views on a situation they’ll immediately get defensive. (I was actually called crazy by a dean and lied on saying i cursed him out) this same said dean scheduled a meeting with all my childs teachers and didn’t tell anyone i rushed in no one showed up.The principal is easy to talk to and maybe a few teachers but it’s not enough to create a great functioning learning environment.
If high expectations are there for students there most certainly must be across the board.
This chill is no good cause my son in 5#B got iss and the deans you cant even look around and stay in a room just for 8 hours no math work or Ella work to do so no this school is noo good especially the 7th graders so just a warning dont come here
