he school overall is pretty great, but what made the experience really fantastic for my niece was one of her teachers, Matt Meuhring. The work he did with her one-on-one was the reason she was excited to go to school on the mornings I drove her, and I was impressed by the assignments he gave, the way he interacted with her, and he was just a really kind, accommodating person who made my niece’s experience fantastic.

I think more parents need to trust the teachers. I can’t tell you how many anxious, controlling, or hovering helicopter moms were zipping around the place causing unnecessary drama. So parents please! Let your kids fly free a little. Trust that the teachers there are competent and caring and let them do what they’re good at.

Anwyway, I wanted to recommend Fusion because of it’s quality overall, but mostly as a thank you to Mr. Meuhring.

My son started Fusion last February after two horrible experiences at traditional high schools. They were ill-equipped to handle his anxiety issues and one school had way too many homophobic students and, sadly, some staff. At Fusion he thrived and is achieving stellar grades. His confidence returned as did his love for learning. Teachers are prepared and compassionate, and know when to push him academically and when it’s time for some breathing room.
A great school for an individualized education. Fusion is both nurturing and academically challenging. The warm, caring environment and 1:1 learning model has helped our child to thrive academically and reduce stress.The teachers have a way of relating to the students and making the subjects relevant, engaging, and interesting.
