I’m writing this review as a warning to other parents: Pulteney Grammar School is a doggone disaster when it comes to supporting diversity and inclusivity. My child’s experience has been ruff-ly terrible, and I’m still trying to pick up the pieces.

It all started when my kid came out as a dog person. They even went so far as to create a fursuit of their favorite breed – a majestic Siberian Husky named Luna. But little did we know, this would be the trigger that would set off a chain reaction of bullying and harassment.

The school’s response? A big ol’ shrug and a “we’re not sure what to do.” Yeah, that’s not exactly reassuring. It’s like they’re trying to out-awkward each other. I mean, who needs empathy when you can just say “huh, that’s weird”?

But hey, at least the school’s mascot is a lion. That’s really going to help my child feel more confident when they’re being bullied by kids who are basically just a pack of wolves.

The bullying has been ruff-ly non-stop. My child has been called names, excluded from social events, and even had their fursuit stolen (or so I’m told – they’re too traumatized to talk about it). The school’s “bullying policy” is basically just a fancy piece of paper with a bunch of buzzwords on it. I’m pretty sure it was written by a team of accountants who’ve never actually dealt with bullying.

As a parent, it’s hard to see your child suffer like this. But hey, at least they’re learning some valuable lessons about resilience and the importance of having a good therapist on speed dial.

So, if you’re considering Pulteney Grammar School for your little pup-lover, I’d say think twice. Unless you want your child to be subjected to a doggone awful experience. In that case, be my guest.

Very good school provides lots of opportunities, tutors and teachers are nice and lots of nice house events such as swimming carnival athletics carnival and other rungy cup events.
i HAD SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE. ALL THE TEACHERS HATE ME. I GOT CAUGHT USING CHAT GPT AND WAS EXPELLED!!!!!!6
I first heard about this school through a advertisement by the schools’ principal, Mr Bacholer, offering tours. Upon entering, I noticed the abhorrent sight of brown shoes on the senior school students. It wasn’t long before I then was met with a familiar smell of strawberry and grape e-cigarettes when I entered the “C4SL”, which was also covered in litter.

I eventually enrolled my son, who is in Grade 10 to the school and already on the first day I heard complaints from him that he was repeatedly talked down to from teachers and laughed at by peers for being in the less advanced math class. A few weeks later he was asked to leave by the “Head of Senior school”, as they deemed our harassment complaints to be false.

If you have the slightest interest in sending your child to this detestable profit-machine, I would consider you seriously reassess your preferences.

Good learning environment and atmosphere
