I decided to remove my daughter from there after they left my 4 year old in what looked like a closet in the pitch black ALONE while she was shaking and crying with a fever. This was NEGLIGENT and DANGEROUS. I understand she was sick and maybe they didn’t want to catch anything but to not even be in view of her just in case she needed help or had a seizure or something until I got there was insane. If that was the case, at least sit outside the door, wear a mask and gloves etc. As soon as I got there the lady did not get up to help me locate her, I had to play a little game of find the door with the person sitting in the corner that refused to get up and help me. Just a bunch of pointing and “nope not that door”. Once I found my daughter she screamed for her mommy and cried that she was cold and hugged me so tight. She was PETRIFIED! As I walked out they lady in the corner didn’t say a word to me, not a “feel better” to my daughter or nothing.

I was already having my reservations because I never knew what they were learning on the day to day. They don’t have a curriculum us parents can follow along. They don’t come home with any practice work or even just work they did in school. I never know what she’s eating because they refuse to show a weekly menu. Everything seems to just be a secret. You just drop your child off and hope for the best. The attitudes of the staff there are disgusting. They all seemed nice at first but I guess their true colors come out over time. The only nice one I’ve seen was her actual teacher Ms.Mel.

My daughter will not be back. I usually don’t even write reviews when I have bad experiences, but this whole experience was way too horrible to keep contained to myself.

I absolutely love this place. I had my daughter in a different daycare since I couldn’t find another one. That place was terrible (not sunbrook). So I moved her to Sunbrook. Since the day my husband and I visited the facility we knew it was the right place. Payton is awesome! She always says hi and calls me by my name. Remembers my husband’s name, always says by to my daughter by name. I often hear her do the same for other families. It doesn’t stop with Payton, it was the same way with Mrs. Keke in the toddler class and now that she’s in the senior toddler class, still the same with Ms. Kim and Ms. Shianne. It is very hard to find great people to entrust your child’s education and safety, especially at such a tender age and Sunbrook his the mark. Even my neighbor gave them kudos when she heard our daughter was in that school. Since her son went there when he was in the Pre-k Program. He’s about to be 10! That speaks volumes. The only down side is that the building is old so there are things aesthetically that need to fixed, but nothing that poses a danger to anyone
I forgot to leave a review after we moved in August but they deserve this praise!! My daughter came from another daycare in Douglasville where she was having problems not eating, drinking and potty training was going backwards!! (Problems I was not having at home) When I transferred my daughter to sunbrook academy Payton told me she left her old classroom in good hands and the teacher was great with potty training. I met her teacher an we got a plan together. My daughters first week attending she was eating, drinking and out of pullups. Communication was great and the cute pictures you get from the day make your heart melt. Amazing teacher! Amazing staff! The director always had me laughing about something. This daycare gave me peace of mind and she was so excited to go everyday.
