this school is quite acceptable. the campus is quite nice, better than the other high schools in this area. The traffic was quite horrible in the mornings, but the development of housing in the surrounding areas have created offshoot streets that lead to the same destination that vastly improve traffic, if you arrive from Orange St . The choir, band, and theater programs are top rated and really nice to listen to/look at. Most of the teachers are really good at their job. There could be a bit more focus on academics, in my general opinion (that is the main purpose of a school, after all)
Amazing performing arts program, on the sports side they’re a little weak. Although I believe they’re a little strict on the dress code policy and I don’t understand why students are not allowed to leave during soar. If I want to pick my daughter up during soar I have to go through the office and sign here out.
My child DID NOT excel here at all. Not an IEP friendly school! Very difficult my for child to make any real friends. Teachers drop your childs grade rather quickly if you miss a day. Often difficult to communicate with certain teachers. Would NOT recommend for IEP students.
