The staff is more concerned with punishment as opposed to positive reinforcement. It is a very discouraging and judgmental environment. My son suffers from feeling like he has to be perfect. In fact his experience this year has changed his outlook altogether. The parent groups are more like cliques. If you don’t meet a certain demographic than you are not welcome. The conduct of most of the staff just isn’t aligned with faith based teachings. Private does not always mean better.
Bullying is out of control, the teachers and principal are too scared to do anything about it if they aren’t the ones doing the bullying. Their curriculum is terrible! My child switched from St. Benedict to a public school and the classmates learned things last year that weren’t even discussed at St. Benedict, in all subjects! My child has to play catch up because the private school that I paid for is behind the public schools. Don’t waste your money here.
