Our daughter had never been to any sort of daycare and had never been babysat, except for in her own home. I was quite nervous about starting her in preschool, as she had never been left by herself. We toured quite a few schools, but I was really impressed by the school and the personality of the owner. Laid back and genuine. It wasn’t a song and dance show to try and get you to enroll. A lot of the other schools we toured were very strict about drop-off time. Our three and a half year old is very unpredictable with her sleep pattern. The owner understood that sometimes our daughter might be there at 7:30 and sometimes our daughter might be there at 8:30. That was a huge relief to me, as a lot of other locations were quite strict with drop off time. I also really liked the smaller teacher- student ratio. The first day I brought her in, I was a little bit nervous. But the confidence that both of her teachers exuded when we dropped her off was felt by our daughter and she was totally fine. She could feel that she was in good hands. She has been going there for just over 4 months now and she absolutely loves her teachers and her school??. All the staff are very friendly and it is just a great place!
My 4.5 year old son has attended this Goddard School location since he was 16 months old. I initially enrolled him so that he could get more time with other children, and give mommy some time to do things for a few hours a few times a week. I QUICKLY learned, this was a VERY VERY special place. Each and EVERY one of his teachers has been so kind and loving and has really developed a REAL relationship with my son. I feel like they not only “Get through” the day, but take the time to get to know him, understand him, and help him excel in his strengths, and work on his areas that need working on. The curriculum is balanced, hands on and creative and I feel like he is heading into his early elementary education years, fully prepared for what is to come. I could NOT HAVE DONE THIS ALONE! He has just THRIVED in this environment. The Teachers are always friendly and approachable, the director and the front office staff is ALWAYS willing to help with adjustments in schedules… we are going to miss Goddard for the next 9-10 months… but we WILL be BACK.. My daughter will be starting in the Summer of 2014! 😉
This Goddard school is the absolute best place I could have my kids. My daughter is 3, has special needs, and uses a walker at school. The classrooms are roomy and clean, the playgrounds are very kid-friendly, and her teachers go out of their way to help her while encouraging her to be independent. Her physical, verbal and social skills have skyrocketed. She cheers every time we pull into the parking lot and never wants to leave when I pick her up. My typical son is in the infant room and has huge smiles and belly laughs for his teachers every day. We spend a bit more to send our kids to Goddard and it’s money very well spent. Huge thanks to Penny, Stacey and Crystal as well as all the teachers for such an amazing, welcoming school.
