Overall, I love this school. I saw several bad reviews online that it worried me to put my son at Cedar Ridge. My son loves it. I love how he’s eager and ready to get to school every morning. There’s teachers in the morning ready to greet each child. Makes them feel noticed and important. The way they teach and the curriculum is awesome. Makes it easy for the child to learn and understand. My son has ADHD. I love how the school is very hands on ready to help. Each class has a “safe spot” for any child who needs a break or a time to themselves for a moment. They have break times throughout the day to allow the child to get their energy out so they’re able to concentrate. Teacher/parent/school communication is a must to me and they do so. Very informed of what going on with weekly notification as far as what will be taught. If your child is within Cedar Ridge area for schooling, don’t listen to a lot of the bad reviews, Cedar Ridge is really a great school!
The principal should have been removed years ago. She is insensitive to her staff and students , exhibits no cultural sensitivity nor common sense when dealing with children of diverse backgrounds.There has been so much stress among yhe staff that at least 2 have died of heart attacks. She also fired the AFT union in her first year.
We are hoping that she will follow Bonnie Cain and retire

My son goes to first grade and today he had a bruise on his face, he told me that he fell during recess but I didn’t receive a phone call from the teacher, also he wears glasses and they are not scratched at all….bad thing is I noticed his bruise at night, my husband picked him up didn’t see his face right there
