Posting bad reviews is such a touchy subject, but when it comes to the safety and well-being of your child, I’d say its worth it. After reading many of the reviews, it is clear to me who has been possibly “asked” to write a good review of the facility versus who is writing a true review from their experience. This facility is the ultimate definition of smoke and mirrors. Their number one priority is bringing in the money, and they will disregard how they treat you and your children to do so. How is the staff? The teachers (in the actual classrooms) are incredible. They care for the children and treat them like their own. Based on the extremely high turnover rate however, its clear the staff is treated very poorly. (I know from experience. My high school daughter painfully worked there temporarily). The administrative staff on the other hand is horrible. Absolutely horrible. They are fake, never seem to be working even when the classrooms are short staffed, and could care less about the well being of your child. Example you ask? Our son was hospitalized for pneumonia (which he got from a bacteria at the daycare) for three days, and missed two weeks of daycare. How many times did the daycare check on his well-being you ask? Zero. Being a place that prides themselves on the care they provide and how they treat your child like their own, don’t you think they’d be just slightly worried about one of their students being in the hospital and missing several weeks of care? Nope. They didn’t care at all. They were paid for their two weeks, so why would they lift a finger more. If you look further into reviews, less than 50% of the staff would recommend working here. That’s a horrible statistic. Not to mention, they are still under investigation for an incident that happened several months ago. They claim to be “working hard” to increase their skills and safety within the facility, but I and other parents have yet to see it. Oh! I forgot to mention the countless times our POTTY TRAINED son was sent home in a disgusting diaper, full of pee and poop because “they were too short staffed” to be bothered to change him? (I know this seems contradictory to my statement about the classroom teachers being amazing. The times he was sent home in a disgusting state was when his teachers were not present) And starving. He was always starving. It took me months to get the daycare to actually feed him, since they have a strict policy of no outside food. If your child doesn’t eat like a non-picky grown adult, don’t expect them to be fed or eat anything they’ll like here. There are plenty of daycares in Arvada….do yourself a favor and DO NOT send your child here. You will absolutely regret it.
We have nothing but good things to say about primrose candelas!
Our daughter started when she was 9 months old, our son at 13 weeks old and we have had such a great experience with both children being there. The teachers and staff are outstanding and all so caring! I always know my kids are in good hands with the Prinrose staff.
It is incredible how much the kids learn; we have been so impressed with their curriculum! My daughter (now 2.5) has learned so much and I know she will be more than prepared by the time she goes off to kindergarten!
If you are considering enrolling your child in a daycare in the Northwest Arvada area, I would highly recommend looking into Primrose Candelas.
We love this Primrose school! Our daughter started when she was 2 and is now 3. She has been in multiple different classrooms and loved them all! Our son is 1.5 and started when he was 1. He had a ROUGH adjustment period (going from nanny to classroom setting) and the staff were all so amazing and helpful! Giving him extra love and attention and answering any questions from worries parents. Eventually he adjusted and warmed up to the school experience as a whole and now he too loves school. The admin staff is fantastic at communicating and truly cares about the kids and their families. Big plus for us is the flexible pick up and drop off times and that they serve meals!
