At first i thought it would be nicer option and i will not read reviews before putting my child into this school.. but now that my child is in school i realise i made a big mistake. I should have reaserched well before enrolling her and now i cannot take her out as theres no other option due to my circumstances.. my child is bullied and its really amaizing to see she was bullied most of the time from her own age group and i wonder how there parents are educating there children too, and then comes the responsibility of the teacher ofcourse that how they are tackling the situation. Secondly school have serious security issues as every time my child loses her jackets and they have been stolen next day. I understand children our irresoponsible sometimes when they play the leave stuff but there is a reason why lost and property space is made .. i assume either one of the staff from school takes it to resale it or students take it and there parents do not even see their childs uniforms that are they briniging the right one or somone elses.. theres no proper chain to who should we look to and how this situation can be taken care of.. some times money is stolen too.. teachers are not serious reception is worthless and its really frustrating sometimes to who should we talk to.. and now they will response to my review that just contact so and so and then they will put the balme on you very decently as if it was all our fault.. this school is no good just thinking to move the house in more better place.. but please request to parents as well talk to thier child and see what they are bringing home are there own or somones elses.. also request to teachers please atleast help spread the word in class about not taking somones elses stuff to home and that bully is not good and follow up with students who experience these issues everytime.. theres kot to say but each one of us experience is different so yes may be u all do reaserch before putting your child into this school..
We have been part of the Springside Community for about 3 years now. I have worked with a few schools in the area, and I chose to move my son to this school in grade 3, due to the amazing support and programs they have in place. The school is so inclusive of all children and families. They work with the families to ensure their child is supported in every way needed, including extra help or extension. The facilities are great – science lab and food tech room are a great asset that many primary schools do not have. The teachers and leadership team are easy to communicate with and approachable. Any issues that arise are dealt with quickly. Can’t recommend this school enough!
I have two friends who came out great from there. I have another friend who was getting seriously bullied and I don’t think that is ok. I don’t believe you would like that from your students. I would hope that your staff is doing something about this.
The lady who is sitting in the reception is the most bad thing happened for this school. Her name is Maryanne. She is never be nice with any one coming through the reception never smile or welcome anyone (everyone knows reception employee should be nice or even pretend that).
Even with the kids she looks like very frustrated when they ask for something and when she deals with them in the sickbay kids wish not to find her there.
The only mistake of springside primary school is having this lady in the reception area because this is where the school deals with parents and guardians and this lady dealing very bad with the public.
This school is the best the principal is very nice and caring the office ladies are very special the teachers are extremely friendly and accepting. While the school nurse is very caring the best school I have ever been too. I regret moving to brookside but SPRINGSIDE is my real school and I would accept it forever. This school is very protective and I would definitely recommend this place to everyone who is planning to move their
