I have 2 boys who were both being cared for by my sister in law before we started Stepping Stone at Leander in the Summer of June 2016. They were 2 and 5 when we started and are now 3 and 6. I was nervous, worried and feeling every emotion a mom can feel during this time of change for our family. I was especially worried about my 5 year old because his Auntie was his sitter for all these years and she was all he knew. I am so happy and thankful to the staff at Stepping Stone Leander for making the transition for all of us so easy. During the summer they offered swim lessons for both my boys which was AMAZING to watch them learn and grow. My 3 year old does the Gym Station Sports Adventures once a week, which he enjoys! There is never a dull moment at Stepping Stone. My 6 year old actually asks me when he gets to stay the entire day at Stepping Stone! Who would have thought!? What can I say, we are all pleased. All the teachers have assured me from day 1 that I could call whenever I wanted to check on my kids. I love how they have the tadpole app. I love getting picture updates of my 3 year old (since he is now the only full time kid but I also love getting my alert on my phone when my 6 year old (before and after school care) arrives back at Stepping Stone from his LISD school. I love my daily reports from the tadpole app because it allows me to have daily conversations with my kids about what they ate and what they did at school that day. When my son was 2 and went thru potty training, Ms. Donna assisted with that transition which was SUPER helpful and we had no issues and the daily report was pretty detailed in regards to how many times he went to the potty, nap time, lunch, snacks and daily activities and pictures. One thing that has always stood out to me is that the kids are constantly washing their hands! I don’t know how many times I have walked into the room at different hours of the day and have seen the kids washing their hands. As a parent who is constantly telling her kids to keep their hands out of their mouth, it is nice to know that at least when I am not around they are being told to wash their hands! I love how everyone knows everyone in the building, my boys walk thru the halls and all the kids and ALL the teachers say hi and bye. The teachers and principal have been nothing but wonderful, Ms. Alisha, Ms. Nancy, Ms. Christina, Ms. Helen, Ms. Donna, Ms. Jamie, the list goes on. My kids get dropped off by 6:30-6:45 in the morning, my 3 year old is not a morning kid at times and I just love how Ms. Alisha helps me with those mornings. She definitely makes it easier to walk away with a smiling kid waving bye at the window as I drive away to work. I can go on and on…bottom line, my kids are happy and safe and I trust the teachers who care for my kids. As I tell Ms. Helen and Ms. Christina…I appreciate and thank them everyday for watching and teaching my kids. I appreciate that I have a piece of mind as I walk out those Stepping Stone doors knowing my kids are in good trusting hands and feel like they love and care for my children like their own. My experience at this school has been AMAZING since day one and would definitely recommend that anyone looking for care in this area give them a call.

My daughters started attending Stepping Stone at the beginning of the year after their previous daycare closed suddenly and without notice. We weren’t excited to start the search for a new school again, but we’re so happy that we came to Stepping Stone. My girls have been so happy, and everyone has treated them (and us) so well and they’ve all made us feel so welcome. Ms. Kim and Ms. Ragini (in the infants room) are just incredibly warm and welcoming women, and my baby is always so happy with them. Ms. Melissa too! I love seeing them each day. Princess (with the 2 year olds) is so great, she’s always so happy and upbeat and I can tell my daughter has fun with her. And Cristina, the principal, she’s been nothing but wonderful. Thank you, Stepping Stone!

I absolutely love the staff at this location. My daughter enjoys going to school and learning. The teachers are very accommodating and friendly. I’ve been to a few different locations and this one is by far my most preferred. Christina is a wonderful principal who genuinely cares about the children and the familys, she sets a great example for the rest of the staff. My daughter has learned so much since coming here and has improved so much with her social skills. We really love it here.
