I went to this school for 6th, 7th, and half of 8th grade. After 7th grade I left to go to Harney Middle School (amazing school!) and my grades at Harney where a’s and b’s! but once I went to Fremont my grades DROPPED!! At Fremont there’s ALWAYS some kind of drama. there’s always some kind of drama going on with “He said this, she said that” The Fremont staff is fairly good, there’s some that will love you and keep you going strong and there’s some that will make you want to kill them. The school campus really needs to be remodeled, the a.c rarely works and if it does it sounds like a dying whale in the classroom. Just be aware of your kids getting bullied by some of the teachers. Some teachers act like complete children. I really loved Fremont till all the new kids started coming and causing drama with their gangs, crews etc. Fremont really needs to have their staff keep an eye on their students. there is so many drugs being passed around and the staff not noticing.
It wasn’t in the best area, and it didn’t have the best or well behaved students, but the teachers here really inspired me, I was usually very slow in turning in assignments (the result of ADHD and wanting to be absolutely perfect), but even after that; turning in an assignment a month later, teachers like Mr. Kelly, instead of just giving me a late grade or whatever would actually sit down and read it, no matter how much work he probably had. He would usually give me input on my work, sadly; something I’ve only experienced with a few other teachers. As I am soon approaching my senior year of high school, I wish for a time where i can go back and relive my stress-free middle school days (w/o the awkward phases and the questionable fashion sense) I don’t think I will be able to ever forget the teachers at Fremont.
It’s sad to hear that they are trying to close Fremont middle school, this is a historical area .Very dissapointed that of all the school in Las Vegas why this one? I think its not fair for most of the parents and children that lives in this neighborhood to transfer this kids 4miles .im asking everyone to Cooperate and show concern about this matter coz it will affect all of us and the future generations.Please HELP us to spread the word while we still have time .time is running out…PARENTS please !!!!! Show our full support to fight not to close Fremont Middle SChool…
