The 4.1 stars on this school is a lie. I find this school DISTRICT (PERIOD) to be unorganized, ghetto, unprofessional, beyond help. The students are allowed to disrespect one another and teachers (loudly) in hallways, classrooms and offices. The DSO can be predjudous when relating student behaviors (EVERY student is a bad one mentalities). The staff in general are rude and seemingly uneducated themselves. Don’t get me wrong… of course there are a FEW scattered here and there that ARE professional and respectful. My thing is I was raised that you are to give respect where respect is given. If you have none coming from the adults FIRST, then how are we to expect the ones being taught to respect THEIR teachers and peers? I’ll wait………………………
There are BARELY ANY tolerant/patient teachers within. They have to PRACTICALLY lock down the high school JUST for the kids to have to be FORCED to stay. How bout GIVE THEM GOOD REASON to WANNA be there. Treat them like humans not caged animals. I am a student of interior design, and the atmosphere inside this district ALONE is depressing. Piss yellow, browns, greys, dirty oranges, etc… It is psychologically proven that these color schemes bring misery, sickness, anger, disorientation and so on. The human brain associates these drab colors as downing and depressing. This can affect behaviors in BOTH students and teachers. Heck… Parents too. I mean SERIOUSLY… Has anyone parent ever just realized that when entering the schools there is NOTHING welcoming. I mean… WELCOME signs do NOT cut it. Kids art on the walls don’t do it either. Not saying put rainbow colors EVERYWHERE, but a designers aspect and touch is definitely needed. It’s about the human psyche. Go DEEP COUNTY… SEE COLORS, GLASS, cleanliness (no eating in the halls allowed), and smiling faces. YES they have their fights and issues as well but STATISTICALLY not nearly as many.
Now, I am speaking from my observation. My kids have attended several school districts due to our moving from different areas and I can TRULY say this is The MOST miserable they have EVER BEEN. They are learning things that were taught to them in earlier grades. The teachers have given assignments through text, over a weekend, breaks and ridiculous hours of the night. When any issue is brought to the attention of staff it is a circus trying to get anything done. Then the administration will smirk and tell you that you are stuck because you live in the district and they have their accreditation back. Gotta move before the NEXT school year because there are TOO many issues with this district.
I go to this school and I am in the 7th grade. The kids here are very disrespectful. There are always fights happening. You can barley learn anything. Some trachers are helpful. If you are looking for a job here you won’t want to come back the following year. The kids are aslo highly rude. Parents if you are thinking about sending your child here please reconsider and send them to a private school rather than here. There are only a handful of kids who will actually make it somewhere in life.
