My daughter started at Yarra this year. We have been thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. The transition has been smooth, she has settled in remarkably well. The support from the teachers has been exceptional. A wide range of extra-curricular activities on offer has allowed her to make new friends, and explore various interested and develop new skills. The school bus is a bonus! Highly recommended!
The most wonderful school that brings out the very best in your child. Kind, caring and highly qualified staff, delivering engaging and stimulating teaching. The opportunities that students and parents can engage in are incredible. Trips, camps, exertions, plays, sport, incursions, excursions; the list is endless. A great place for your child to be the best they can be; I have two children here, in Junior school and Senior school; highly recommended.
My child went here and had a blast. The silicone tongues provided gave her a “warm and fuzzy” welcome to the school!
The smell of the toilets is so comforting because of the special embrace of the blue raspberry passionfruit pineappe guava. People got swirlies and my daughter got the very needed hair cut. The teachers had a close connection with all the students and my daughter always came home with a smile.
Except the recent time she was on the tier list – at the top. I agree with the rank she got!!!
My daughter studied at Yarra from year 7 at 2017 and graduated 2 years ago. She likes most of her teachers and she always been supported from her teachers whenever she needed. I found Yarra is a school to support all different talents of students, whether they are good/interest at study, sports, art or music. Very pleased for Yarra’s strict school uniform and students’ appearance policy, these eliminated lots of conflicts between my daughter and me.
Whilst the facilities are nice every activity your child is involved in is an added expense. The relentless requests to contribute to raising funds, the turnover of teachers & the lack of quality teachers, the lack of regard to the parents as though your not your childs biological guardian but a mere bystander, the class representatives are installed to represent the school and school initiatives so all parents are ensured they tow the line/attend/contribute $$ and take directives, the education quality encourages mediocrity.
