While Mr Monk & Kevin O’Heir were principles here & Peter Langdon was physical education teacher, Moreland primary school was nothing but racist. You taught children about different states in ‘Australia’, & flora & fauna.. but never the fact that the indigenous here were considered fauna..just one experience of many others. Poor form.
the school was amazing; I miss it a lot. All the teachers were wonderful and the entire community was respectful, diverse and really kind.
I went there, as one of the last graduating class of Moreland Primary. My time there was bland, but enjoyable. All the CRT’s they hire are bad, and for no reason. The actual teachers were good, but they kept getting old and retiring, leaving us with new teachers, who weren’t usually as good. The school yard was much too small, but there was no bullying or vaping, and the bathrooms were always broken. The redeveloped courtyard was a good development, but taking away the sole year six responsibilities really made my experience so much worse. Grade fives are always toxic (except for the 2021 ones), and should NOT be given any responsibility. The teachers are mainly ok, but they all make you sit on the floor for WAY TOO LONG. They really should seperate the higher ability students and extend them, because, as someone who required extension, I did not learn very much, and was bored easily. They do provide quite well for those with learning struggles though, and fully support a healthy atmosphere. I think that it would be better if they actively gave us more breaks inside the classroom, meditation after lunch doesn’t really cut it. The Young Leaders Conference was good, and I am glad that I got the opportunity to go, but I think that overall it was an OK school. Maria and Hana are INCREDIBLE principals, and they made the school so much better. Shout out to Mr. Williams to being an amazing principal as well. We spent WAY too long studying fractions.
Love my class! l go to this school and l love it my teachers are Thomas and miss Jenna!
The teachers are amazing and support you with most things. The grounds are fairly average but there are plenty of places to hang out. Overall, amazing school! 😀
