First I want to say the staff during the summer period at the Joliet yard are all in a power battle with each other and its effected the whole summer classes. Not only were there limited amount of instructors during the summer but the work environment made more of the instructors leave. This program was supposed to have been a month or two long. They cut our hours in half to 4 hrs a day then during those hrs we only had videos from our first day tour BUT CANT RELY ON THE VIDEOS DURING DAYS WHERE THERE WERE ONLY 2 INSTRUCTORS FOR 20 STUDENTS!!! They took away all of the learning guides we had as a hard copy making us dependent on memory and our classmates. God forbid the class mate cant remember what part is what now were all standing around looking crazy. My time here has exceeded and Im still not CONFIDENT ENOUGH to take my road test. Out of the 100 students only 7 or 8 Passed their test. That says alot about this organization and the people that dont care if we learn or not! I started in June and my hrs are up and I still have zero confidence in taking this road test. I really want to start all over at another school because this has been a total waste of 5 months
I have a great experience, nothing bad to say , excellent group of people , all very professional.I have to give special thanks to Dave my instructor for being so patient with me he walked me trough the whole process, always super respectful . If you decide to go with 160 ask for him , he is a really good dude
Got my license last month
wasnt easy , u have to put a lot of effort and hard work , if u do that , believe me I gonna be ok

I wish I can say the same for 160 on Harvey but unfortunately I had the worst experience there , but like I said before , focus on your license
..
160 is a great school, the instructors at the Crest Hill yard went above and beyond to train me. Skills and in-cab training was tough but Steve and Rich were fantastic, they made sure the info stuck. I never drove manual transmissions but you wouldn’t know it because Instructors Dave and Andre spent hours working with me to make sure it became second nature. The patience and attention to details these guys have is exceptional. Overall I would encourage anyone interested to go to this crew of instructors. They’ll make sure you pass with your CDL in hand. Thank you guys!!!
