There is a lot of things going on at this school that it is scary. My child came home singing a songs made by a teacher to the beats of Pound Town, My Neck My Back, Lil Kim and others. I asked them where did you hear that song from and they told me at school! Knowing that my husband and I do not listen to such music! They have people teaching that does not have a Valid PSC Teaching Certificate! How can they employ someone like that? I guess when there is a family member with a high position to higher their child they will do that. My child has been going there for a year and I feel as that they are behind in academics. My child hates to go to school there now!! They sell you this pitch in the beginning to get you in but never deliver what they promised. Before your child goes to any Charter school in Georgia, please check with the Georgia Department of Education to see what is required for a person to teach at that type of school. I will be calling them and the Georgia Professional Standards Commission about this school.

Dekalb Brilliance Academy is an AWESOME school! My daughter enjoyed her entire 1st grade school year. In addition to her pleasant experience, her test scores improved and we saw significant growth in all subject areas. The staff at DBA understand their purpose. They strive to empower, prepare and educate, while ensuring that each student experiences gains. Kudos to all the staff members at DBA. I appreciate your diligence, support and hard work. My daughter is excited to return this upcoming school year.

My son attended his first grade year at Dekalb Brillance Academy and it has been a godsend. He is so much happier here than his previous school. The administration is very caring and responsive. My son has autism and they make every effort to ensure that he gets all of the additional help that he needs. Next year my younger son with be attending kindergarten here. This school creates a very loving and beautiful learning environment for our children. I am so happy we found them!
