I’m sure it’s great to for some. Plenty of kids and adults will find this place adequate because they are one of the cheapest in Ann Arbor. With good reason. This was a very unpleasant experience for us. They frankly traumatized our child and gaslit us into believing this was the norm. I recently learned of two other families who underwent similar things. There is limited outdoor space. They will repeatedly turn out perfectly glued pieces of artwork as proof of good early childhood learning. The ratios are run very tightly. They will threaten legal action because the owners are not early childhood educators, rather local business owners who own a variety of businesses and have a legal background.
We moved here from out-of-state last summer and had to enroll my daughter in a preschool semi-quickly. I continually heard good things about Uno Dos Tres and took a chance and enrolled her. It’s been such a great environment for her. She has made some of her best friends there, knows math skills (incredible to me), and can switch pretty seamlessly between Spanish and English (for a non-native speaker). They’ve done a lot of work on letters and so she can now recognize all letters of the alphabet (and I say this as a lazy parent that has put very little work into this). We’re super grateful for this cute school and continue to recommend them <3
We had our daughter — she’s aged out — and have had our son at UDT for nearly three years. We only wish our daughter could stay longer! The school is great, the teachers are kind, the other families are friendly, and the school is good about communicating things like class sicknesses, power outages, etc. This past summer, our daughter was able to communicate with the teachers and other students in an essentially Spanish-only summer camp in Spain, so the immersion is effective, too. Nothing but good things to say and we’ll be bummed when our son ages out after this upcoming school year.
