Hey there, I recently moved to Clarkkk. from East LA, more specifically Boyle Heights, less specifically, Los Angeles. The starkkk contrast between the two public school systems was a pleasant surprise. My teen daughter who attends this school was originally put off by the reviews stating this school had some “scandal” a year ago with a puppet along with the rat infestation, however, to her surprise, the rat population has dwindled down to a familial-esque dynamic in which the rats and students have learned to co-exist and one of the rats, nicknamed, “Duke” has even taken residence in the computer lab and comes to the students for snacks. When my daughter asked about the puppet, she was comforted by the display of other minority puppets also being hung along with white puppets to show civil unity along with races. The faculty is fabulous and have even gone out of their way to welcome my daughter. However our wonderful neighbors have told us about the Kkkoruption within the Clark board of education and the Clark political sphere that resulted in money being extradited from the school’s budget leading to clubs and clans being shut down which is a bumber for my daughter and wife who were interested in getting active within the community.
Was at girls basketball game. They were playing against Plainfield High School, Plainfield, NJ….at half time usually teams go to the locker room but PHS girls team was sent in classroom where a black doll was hanging from a branch…. In the past they are known for saying racial slurs against Plainfield High School…. I guess this teaches racism and prejudices….
Here working Kevin Boyle basketball camp. Faculty look standard and up to date. The high school is pretty big.
