I never write reviews, but I did want to share my experience so others done face the same fate. I went in there a 6 months ago to get my hair done by a student I went to high school with. She did AMAZING, and it was cheap. So I decided to go again to bring my natural root color down. Different student since the girl I knew graduated. They absolutely DESTROYED my hair. I didn’t say a word, didn’t have to. My hair dresser was crying by the time we were done because of how awful it was. She managed (with the instructors ok) to make my bleached blonde hair almost black. I do not blame the hairdresser, everyones hair is different and she is learning. However the instructors all gave her the green light, came up and said it looked fine until the very end when she was bursting out in tears and said something to them. They played it off and said it will wash out in a couple days. It didn’t even change in the slightest after two weeks. They let me come in to get it fixed for free (shouldn’t have charged me at all for either appointments and I even left a tip because I felt bad both times) and ended up making it worse. Both times they acted like it looked great and I just got the best hair color ever. Take a look at the pictures of what my hair looked like before, what I asked for, and what I got. I’ll let you decide. Again, I’m not upset with anyone. The instructors are wonderfully nice people as well as the students. I also understand it is a school, but they were going to charge me over $100 for this disaster. I expect the students to make mistakes, but I also expect the instructors to know what they are doing and offer complete support in the fixing process. Instead, I called and they forgot who I was, put me with a new student and instructor who had no idea about the situation, and the original instructor never came up to me to check up or to inform the new student on what happened. I had to tell them! I recommend going here if you want bleached blonde hair, THAT’S IT.
The receptionist are not very helpful, they have no knowledge of the services they offer. They have two of them and when you ask the one you’re speaking to a question she looks at the other one. These people are the first impression one sees when entering your establishment & they are sitting down behind the front desk. This place lacks professionalism in many ways. I worked in the beauty industry for years & I wouldn’t recommend this school for any student or service guest. If this is how the front desk is ran I could only imagine the lack of professionalism the other staff is passing on to the students. Stand up from behind the front desk & greet your service guest with a smile maybe offer them some water. If you’re going to say the service the guest is asking for isn’t available I would recommend at least pretend looking on the students books before giving the guest a hard no. This place could use some training for sure.
Roger’s Beauty School is phenomenal! I can’t believe how blessed I am to be going to such an amazing school. The owner Sheri is wonderful and so is the director Sheila. If you have a business run by talented and knowledgeable people who are so kind and compassionate everyone is happy! Everyone gets along and is so supportive! The days are filled with knowledge, laughter and fun! If anyone is thinking about attending you must come in for a tour and see what a great place this is with amazing teachers! You will not be disappointed!! Thank you Ms. Ginger, Ms. Eli and Ms. Stefani for always taking the time to explain things and your patience!!
