the canteen is excessively overpriced $7.5 for 8 pieces of sushi? 5 dollars for one damn slice of salmon in the smoked salmon avocado sandwhich? 1.5 dollar for a boiled egg? 3 dollars for 0.001 g of frozen yoghurt? no thanks bro. and also no ac or properly working heaters. either too hot or too cold – theres never in between. the bathrooms are also terrible, and they never get fixed like theres literally a bathroom without a toilet seat and another one without a lock like bro cmon guys !!! teachers also dress code u for the most irrelevant stuff, like logos on socks or for wearing scarfs or beanies that are somehow “inappropriate.” many teachers are also highly embarassing and shame you infront of the entire class for simply like needing to go to the bathroom or taking too long pissing.
overrated fr. stealing food from sb canteen imagine. just go eat the food at ur own canteen. its not that bad. wait no nvm its horrible, just bring food to school frfr.
for anyone saying that the school’s rankings went “down” – they did not. the ranking system works by calculating how many band sixes/E4s are achieved in the school. this does NOT measure the subject’s difficulty or amount of content. sydney girls takes the REAL hard subjects – chemistry, math extensions, physics, english extensions, and so on. the private schools that are at the so called “top” are taking easy subjects like “entertainment industry” (literally a subject about how to set up a cinema) and “community and family studies” which is self-explanatory. the sydney morning herald hsc rankings don’t take this into account AT ALL. if you want your kid to do well in the real subjects, take them here, and don’t be fooled by fancy private schools. sydney girls will ALWAYS continue to be one of the best schools in australia academically.

absolutely disgustingly horrific. rude and unkind teachers, racist students divided into different groups with bullying and talking behind each other’s backs, and dreadful facilities. the only ok thing of this school is the academic level, which still doesnt classify as very very high but is better than a few other schools. highly not recommended for your child to attend. if i could, i would rate this review 0.5 stars.
