Look, all the peers that read my previous review, I was just really angry at the time. Don’t get me wrong, this school is decent, but I still have my own opinion, okay?? Geez, I’m sorry, guys. But just calm down about this review! I can’t stand how I say something and some random person might get offended… So if you are reading this, I’m, sorry, but chill out ok?!

Current: Wow, this was so long ago. This school was decent at least, but kids there could be very mean. The education wasn’t the highest or near well and personally, it was horrible. I had no motivation there and kids turned on each other very easily. I never saw a friendship last long there. No matter what I did, most people just hated me there. I tried sharing snacks and all of a sudden, everyone expected a bunch from me. I couldn’t trust anyone there and was bullied each and every year. I even had a manipulative bully for my whole experience there that took nearly all of my friends from me and the teachers would usually take their side, letting them get away with what they did to me. The only reason my grades weren’t the best was because I was so unmotivated there and it was just Hell. I wish I never went there, but at least there were a few very nice people there. By the way, for the first review, that was an edit on my original. The teachers and students were mad at me for giving my honest opinion about the school. I would recommend any other middle school to bring your children to. If you’ve seen, the bad reviews tend to have far more detail, while the positive reviews are very vague.

I attended BHMS and BVSD schools up until 1/4 of the way through 8th grade. now, before I continue with this review id like to point out that all schools have their setbacks, I mean it’s middle school. it sucks. anyway, i honestly wouldn’t recommend taking your child to this school. with the about 3 years I was there, I had some of the worst encounters of my life. bullying, threats, things like that. and it would’ve been a normal experience to go through, but NOBODY and I mean NOBODY in staff would try to do something about all of it. I believe that they are discriminatory based upon other things, such as looks, backgrounds, etc. I consider myself LGBT+ and have had horrible experiences surrounding that as well. Some teachers are exceptional, but i would say about 75% of the staff don’t actually teach and/or encourage their students learning at all. the kids there are probably the worst part. if you don’t dress in all Nike, or Victoria’s Secret Pink you won’t be associated with. Teachers also see these cliques and from what I saw, usually FAVORED at least one or another. and I don’t mean slightly, I mean if they didn’t like you they pretty much said and did whatever they wanted to you.
I go to a SVVSD school now, and the transition was like I was reborn. I’m taking advanced classes which was never offered to me before, I feel very engaged and interactive when learning, and I feel like I’m getting pushed to do my best.
This school my daughter attends, is okay. The reasoning is because she was in the library and her pencil pouch got stolen. She talked to others and asked if they have seen it. My daughter told me that one of her friend’s sister got their phone stolen, last year in 2014. She isn’t that happy about what the others have done. Many teachers are very rude, and assign class work that is due in like 2 days. Many of the students can’t catch up with how fast the teacher is handing out the class work. Many things that are fancy or nice pencils or pens, get stolen. I will not consider going to this school. Many of the teachers are very strict. They mark you absent or tardy even though you are there. Some teachers are nice and friendly but some are hypocrites. My daughter also told me that many of the 8th grade boys already say bad words. And when teachers notice them say it they ignore them saying it. I believe that a student in 8th grade shouldn’t be saying bad words, or even having a girlfriend. Many boys wear clothing that are not appropriate for school, thin tank tops that show some of their privacy that girls should not see, or they would wear their pants more down and show some Undies. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR WONDERFUL CHILDERN TO THIS HORRIBLE SCHOOL
