We enrolled our then 3 yr. old daughter at Primrose School at the Flatirons after moving to Superior in 2021. We got the recommendation from an internal employee forum at my husband’s company. The leadership team and our daughter’s teachers immediately and continuously made us feel like family. We got daily updates and pictures on an app, semi-annual reports on her learning, and best of all, feedback from my daughter herself that she loved going to school. Primrose has had the same staff chef for over 8 years, who is still constantly innovating and improving a healthy, homemade menu.
After being a parent at Primrose Flatirons for a year, I sought employment as a full-time teacher in the 3-4 age room. I’ve also spent time as a floating teacher, helping in all classrooms as needed. I’ve had the unique opportunity to see the school culture up close. Greg (the owner) has a wonderful team. There is some amount of turnover, but there is a strong backbone of teachers that have been working there 5-20+ years. To me, that speaks volumes. There is a cohesive community culture. As a new employee, I was offered many training opportunities. I was initially paired with an experienced teacher, went through trainings and certifications, worked with Broomfield Early Childhood Council (classroom observations and a “Circle of Security” training), and the school directors were always available to give me feedback and advice whenever I had questions.
For many of the teachers at Primrose Flatirons, they do this because they feel called to educate and love our kids. I know when my daughter was having emotional days, she was met with patience and understanding (thank you, Aylin!). I would emphatically recommend this school to any parent searching for childcare in our community.
I need to share a really upsetting experience we had at Primrose at Flatirons daycare, which has made us question the safety and care they provide. At first, everything seemed great with friendly staff and a nice environment. However, a few serious incidents made us realize how wrong we were.

First, there was a big mix-up with one of the staff members, “Miss Jenny,” who was switched to the infant room when they were short-staffed. She mistakenly gave a formula-fed baby another baby’s breast milk, which led to the infant’s mother having to rush her child to the hospital because of health risks. Miss Jenny blamed the scheduling for her mistake.

Another shocking incident happened with a toddler named Georgie, who had just started at the daycare. He was left with Miss Jenny during nap time, and I came back to find him covered in scratches and bruises. Miss Jenny claimed he did it to himself because he was upset, but it turned out she was the one who hurt him. The daycare cameras caught her trying to quiet him by pinching him, and she was fired after that.

What made things even worse was how the owner, Greg Patrick, handled our concerns. When we brought up these issues, he was really rude and just told us to find another daycare if we didn’t like how things were. He seemed angry and it was pretty scary to see someone in charge react like that.

For any parents thinking about Primrose “School” at the Flatirons, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. The way they manage things and how they’ve handled serious problems is very concerning. It’s not just about a couple of bad days; it’s about a lack of proper care and safety for the kids.

Selecting the right school for my daughter was a crucial decision, and Primrose School at The Flatirons has been an outstanding choice for 5+ years. The staff’s dedication is truly exceptional, with each educator demonstrating deep care and commitment, creating a nurturing and engaging environment for the children.

The educational quality at Primrose School is remarkable. The curriculum is comprehensive, fostering both academic growth and personal development. My daughter gained invaluable skills that have benefitted her immensely, even after transitioning to public school.

Safety and well-being are top priorities at Primrose School, and this is evident in their clean and secure facilities. Knowing that my daughter was in a safe and well-maintained environment gave me great peace of mind.

The lasting impact of Primrose School on our family is notable. Despite my daughter attending public school, we continued her enrollment during the summers due to our profound satisfaction with the school and her love for the environment and staff.

In conclusion, Primrose School at The Flatirons deserves a five-star rating for its exceptional care, educational quality, and safe environment. It’s a place where children are not only educated but are cherished and nurtured. I highly recommend it to parents seeking an extraordinary educational experience for their children.
