Armenian Sisters Academy only deserves a star for the preschool part and if I could rate zero stars for kindergarten I would. The only thing good about this school was the preschool blue group teacher Mrs Seta. Mrs Seta was kind, patient, respectful and was truly perfect for children. Bella loved Mrs Seta she went to school super happy every day. Not one day did Bella have an issue in preschool with Mrs Seta. But as far as kindergarten goes it’s the complete opposite with Mrs Tamar. Mrs Tamar was heartless, disrespectful, and soulless teachers to my child. Bella was basically bullied by Mrs Tamar. Tamar never gave Bella a chance. She had favoritism amongst children. She had a rule that she would assign the kindergartners student of the week each week. I wrote her an email asking what her guidelines are for becoming student of the week because it was affecting my child’s self esteem every week she was not chosen. She told me that she would be student of the week eventually by the end of the school year. My daughter went to school until her graduation day and Tamar did not give her student of the week. My daughter was the only child in a 16 person classroom that did not get student of the week. Other children that were her favorites received student of the week multiple times in the school year .My daughter is the most caring child and she went to school every day trying her best to be student of the week. My daughter cried and was sad each week that she was not student of the week and this truly affected her psychological and therefore Mrs Tamar is a horrible person. I even brought my concern to the head of the school and she did nothing. The only thing she said is don’t take Bella out of ASA she looks happy here. Bella was not happy and every day couldn’t wait for her school year to end. Mrs Tamar was a terrible person and for that reason I have decided to leave ASA. Multiple times Tamar has shown to me that she is not a nice person and doesn’t care about my child at all. Certain days in ASA they were asking to bring money if children chose to buy donuts, lemonade etc. One time I forgot to pack the money and my daughter asked Tamar to call me and she didn’t. Bella said she cried the whole time that she was not given poonchik because she didn’t have the $5. That proves to me that the teacher is heartless. Bella said even Tamar was eating the food and I said can you call my mom she just forgot the money and Tamar told her No. Tamar called me regarding other students by mistake but when it was for my own child she didn’t take a minute to call me and confirm if it’s ok Bella gets the food.
I don’t know how or where she got her teaching credentials but she definitely does not know how to work with kindergartens. Also my child is not safe in ASA. There has been many times Bella came home and notified me that she was hurt and was crying a lot at school but they never notified me. When I brought it up to their attention they said she was fine or we forgot. That’s not acceptable. My child was bullied all year by Tamar. I would not recommend ASA to any parents.

Do not make the mistake of becoming part of this community. It is a highly unprofessional school,with unprofessional staff members. The school has lost its quality, culture, spirit and morals. They over work and under pay the teachers, the board members control the school in favor of their own children. They hire parents to teach and change teachers like dirty socks. I saw the school go from 400 students to 100 students, it’s a shame!

Great education! Definitely recommend sending your children here to get the Armenian spirit, culture, religion and language. Many graduates of this school now attend the best universities in the world and have outstanding jobs. If you want to provide a wonderful elementary and middle school experience for your child, send them to sisters academy.
