I am so thankful we found such a great place for our daughter to go to when we have to go to work. It is painful enough to have to leave your child with someone all day, but since I have so much confidence in the skills of the teachers at Boulder Montessori my conscience can take a break. That alone is worth so much. She has been at BMS for a year and half now and seems to be learning a ton and growing beautifully as a person. She has loved all her teachers and talks about them outside of school all the time. We feel so comfortable with everyone there and it really shows in all the kids that the teachers are very caring and really love working there. Our daughter really loves being around older kids so the open classroom setup allows her to interact with them and kids her own age. The owner is fantastic and somehow knows the names of every child and parent at the school. At this point, we’ve decided that we’ll be involved and financial supporters of BMS even when our daughter no longer goes there. We love it and so does she!
My daughter started at BMS in the preschool program at 2.5 years. She is now 3.5, and continues to love school, learn new skills, gain independence, and generally thrive at BMS. I’m grateful this excellent school is in our neighborhood and I highly recommend it.

The teachers and staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. I feel comfortable leaving my child in their care.

I appreciate the Montessori approach to early childhood education. My daughter has learned a tremendous amount in her first year of preschool. Additionally she shows a great amount of independence and curiosity, two qualities I know her teachers are fostering.

The school has warm, inviting classrooms, a spacious playground that invites creative play, and borders open space.

My daughter especially loves her teachers, the school cats, the tire swing, the songs she’s learned, and the little lending library.

Our son will start in the toddlers program once he reaches 18 months.

My son is 4.5 and has been at Boulder Montessori School since he was 18 months old. He has thrived under the care of the wonderful teachers at BMS and with the Montessori principles. Our younger son will start at BMS when he reaches 18 months and we are thrilled to have him benefit from all things BMS.

Some aspects of BMS which contribute to our satisfaction: 1) tenure of teachers – several teachers & administrators have been with BMS since founding in the 1970s. many others have been with the school for 10-20 years. 2) sense of community – BMS embraces its families as their own. 3) empowering children – Montessori gives children the power to thrive in independence. From serving their own food and clearing their own dishes, to finding a sense of order in how children structure their “work”, our son finds extreme happiness in managing his own little world.
